Roy Disney sells 40% of his Disney shares

Looks like Roy is becoming dis-illusioned with Disney too.
This is bad news, Roy seems to be one of the few Disney executives who has common sense but also dignity. He was the only one who handled the Treasure Planet disappointment with any skill and respect to the hundreds of creative employees who had worked on the film.
He also has a love for traditional 2D animation. He has my utmost respect, and has certainly earned his right to benefit from his ownership, but I hope this doesn't trigger a further downward spiral in Disney's Art (rather then profits).
Eisner how has the largest share in Disney!

That came as a shock to me! I couldn't see Roy selling his shares! I wrote him a letter last year! I wonder if that caused the clash between him and Eisner?
I did mention Eisner and what I disliked about him what he was doing to the company, Disney channel, DVDs and future projects.

It's possible Roy is looking to go into retirement (or semi-retirement) and his decision is to do with his career progression and nothing to do with studio politics. And if he does want to relax in his later years financially secure then good luck to him. He's earned it.
As for Eisner, Roy was one of the prime reasons Eisner was hired in the first place? I think. It's sad that now Eisner is Disney's biggest shareholder with 10% - plus I'm sure that will go up over the next few years with bonuses and the like.
However I do find it suspicious this announcement was made when Disney (allegedly) shuts down it's 2D animation studio - the division of Disney Roy had most involvement with.

One of? Try THE best. Actually, wait "You like a-the juice?" probably outdoes it. One of the best is right.

At the sake of getting too far off-topic I won't go into full details...plus I could never do it justice. There was a Saturday Night Live skit a few years back that featured Will Ferrell and guest host Christopher Walken. In the skit the Blue Oyetr Cult was in the studio recording their "Reaper" song, and Ferrell played the cowbell in the demo. Needless to say the interection between he and the band AND Walken (playing their recording manager) was too funny to accurately describe. You HAVE to see it for yourself.

If I were President of U.S., I would send my secret service to capture Eisner, force him to swallow a bomb, and detonate him. I would then order Roy to take over Disney.
