I'm more and more looking forward to it. With this film and Narnia, Disney is going to rule the Holiday season of 2005!

I'm VERY skeptical. It seems like another plotless spoof (judging from previews). I guess only time will tell.

Please take no offense at what I am about to say: looking at your avatar, are you sure that your skepticism isn't coming from your love of Pixar? I mean, you are entitled to your opinion. But if it is based on Disney's lackluster sequels or previous animated films, then I don't feel it is correct, because the people who worked on those films are not the people who worked on Chicken Little.

And about the spoof comment, had The Incredibles been solely a Disney flick, would you have said that the early previews made the film look like just a superhero spoof?

In fact, I did say that. :P
Actually, this is coming from my love for Disney Feature Animation. This one seems too much like Home on the Range (relying heavily on jokes to make a good film). If HotR flopped artistically, I'm afraid maybe this one might too!

Oh. Well, then, I apologize for jumping on your opinion like I did. I see your point better now. It seems like most of the time, the person's opinion is just, "It's Disney, so it's going to stink." Still, you actually have a good reason to be skeptical, it seems.

However, don't forget about The Emperor's New Groove. It may not have opened big, but it had VERY strong legs. Today, it is considered, in a way, a "cult" classic.

Because Shrek and Shark Tale never had a joke in them!

I hate to say this but Moviegoers these days have no taste, I mean Shrek 2 is abundant with terrible jokes and that is the reason why so many people like it (although I can't for the life of me see why). It seems to be the trend at the moment that most animated films have to have a wisecracking sidekick with loads of "duh duh" jokes in it to be a success. If that is what the majority of people want then that is what Disney are going to make. Their main priority is to make money ergo if people keep going to see "Shrek 2y" films then that is what is going to keep getting made.

Shark Tale underperformed (it was expected to bring in much more). Seems the public is getting wiser when choosing what CGI feature they're going to!

It had a box office gross alone of £338,000,000! And that's not including DVD sales! It's the 109th highest grossing film of all time! I don't think the public are getting wise at all!

It still doesn't justify spoofs, even if it is the "hot" thing...

I'm not at all interested in this movie. I know I shouldn't judge but it looks terrible! I'm not planning on seeing it :headshake:

He's cute! And I was laughing when I saw the trailer!
but as for watching it in theatres...I doubt we'll do that.

I think we'll do a RENT before anothe BLIND BUY for this one.

But it's soo early to tell, right? ;)

The very fact that it is the "hot thing" is precisely what justifies it!

I agree! Shrek 2 and SharkTale were laughless pieces of crap! I wish they didn't make a cent. As for Chicken Little I actually think it might be funny. I don't think it will make fun of other companies and stuff like Shark Tale and Shrek 2 did and the traliers seem fun! And so does PatrickvD's Poster!   !

Audiences don't have taste, OMG that is sooo true.

I mean, people complain that Disney should make another "classic fairy tale" type of movie again, but thanks to movies like Shrek that is now impossible. I mean c'mon, if Sleeping Beauty were made today, you think audiences would want to go out by the millions and see this, I mean, you'd have kids falling asleep and adults possibly hum-drum because the movie isn't filled with every single laugh-out loud moment like in Shrek (not to say Sleeping Beauty isn't great, because it is, it's a very great movie indeed) but audiences today wouldn't bother seeing a classic any more.

Well, back on topic, I will go see this. Hopefully with friends, since they like the look of the movie, too. And yes, you do have a right to not see and your own opinion (hopefully not as biased since the movie still doesn't have much info yet), but I'd tell everyone to give go see, I mean, Pixar will make a movie that will suck one of these days (not a fan myself but..)and people will still go to see it in droves nonetheless, so why not Chicken Little? :) I have hopes for this.

And the voice cast is top notch. 8)

YOU ACTUALLY LIKE SHREK 2 AND SHARK TALE MORE THAN THE TOY STORY FILMS, STAR WAR FILMS, AND WHO FRAMMED ROGER RABBIT!

Yeah, when I saw the trailer it looked kinda interesting... I don't know I might see it but not until it comes out on DVD. Is it coming out in theaters? I don't know. So maybe but probably not. :?

I will not be going to see Chicken Little. I'm not a big fan of most CGI movies. In fact, Toy Story (the original) is the only one I love. Disney, bring back 2-D fairy tales!! Stop trying to make stupid comedies!
