Here you can talk about this upcomming, long-awaited film. But for now, the question is, will you see it? I of course, will be there probably on May 20th since May 19th is a Thursday.

Should be one to see in theaters, though I missed out on Episode II. I now feel that's easily the weakest Star Wars film made, but maybe I'd feel differently if I saw it in theaters. Or maybe not.

In my opinion, yes, it's a lot weaker than Episode I. I'd settle for a few rousing sequences (pod race, final lightsaber fight) over something that does nothing for me (Anakin's transparent decline, that 'love story'). I'm probably in the minority on that one, but Episode I isn't a bad movie at all. People got really riled up about it being too kiddie and the presence of Jar-Jar, but I feel it offered thrills much closer to the original trilogy than the 'darker', brooding sequel.

I won't catch it opening week but will see it at the theaters. Cannot wait for this one!

One and two were so bad that I have lost all interest. I will stick with the original trilogy.

If the reviews are great and people around here feel that it works as a prequel to episoded 4-6 I might buy it on DVD but I doubt it.

I voted opening night, but I really plan to catch a 12:00 am show late Wednesday Night/Early Thusday Morning. ;)

Probably the week it comes out.
Even though I can't stand the long lines, crowded theatres...I think this movie will be worth it. ;)

But it depends on my mood...so I chose "some days after its release". :)

I said opening night. Not because I'm a HUGE Star Wars fan or anything, but I seem to remember seeing EpII on opening night with my extended family (there were at least 8 of us :D)

so we'll probably do the same thing again.

I'm planning on seeing it at midnight (Wed. night/Thur. morning) with my dad and a couple of siblings, and then I'll probably see it again sometime opening day with a few friends.

The trailer makes it look like the best prequel yet, so I've still got hope for it, even after the bland mess that was Ep. II (I enjoy the movie, but compared to the rest of the SW films it's a bland mess; and on a related note, my feelings for Ep. I seem to mirror Luke's as well...)

My dad will probably drag me and my family to go and watch it. I'm not really a Star Wars fan. The new movies are alright... they're not the best, I mean they need to do less yacking and more action. But anyways I'll eventually watch it.

I voted "a few days after release", as that's when I normally see films in the cinemas, but honestly, I don't know. I usually watch movies theatricly with the family, and usually mum or dad will be too tired after work or my brother will get lost in Australia.
I am hoping, however, that I will get to the cinemas to see this one as this is probably the type of film that needs to be seen all big to be fully appreciated.

Of course I'm seeing it on the opening night.

I can't wait I thought Episode I was the weakest.

Opening night, of course! I look at each SW film as a gift from God and I cherish each one equally. I've had so much fun with each film, they've been a huge part of my life. I'm not sure how many times I'll see it in the theaters, but from the previews it looks to be the best one yet. I predicted that it was going to be even before Episode I came out, the nature of the story makes it so!

So instead of listing in what order I like the films, I will list how many times I saw each one in theaters.

Star Wars: A New Hope 10
Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back 10
Star Wars: Return of the Jedi 10
Star Wars: Phantom Menace 14
Star Wars: Attack of the Clones 11
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith ??

I predict that I'll see it in theaters at least ten times, probably more.

Jar-Jar was awful.. Added nothing to the first one.. I thought one was a waste of time a filler so to speak.. a preamble to the 2nd and 3rd.. I thought II had more story.. gave us enough taste of Vader to want more and expect better.. I have no doubt III will be the best of the newer ones. But I can't say I was better than II
