Hi!
I just bought the Beauty and the Beast DVD on ebay (it's real and all :) ), except I notice that in some scenes, the audio gets kind of crackly. Has anyone else expierienced this on theirs?

I'd like to take the opportunity (and beat KD to the punch again, since she's the Welcome Wagon lady) and welcome you to UD. Hope you like it and stick around.

2 things though:

You get an avatar after 50 posts

and the avatar can be no bigger than 100x100 pixels.

That's all.

Have fun.

First off. WELCOME 2 UD :eye:

Hope your enjoying it around here :thumb:

As for your question.. The audio never got crackly with my DVD..

Is the copy you bought a factory sealed DVD or did you buy a used copy?

I'll answer the question and then I'll do the welcoming later. :p

1.) No, my DVD doesn't do that...but since you mention that yours does, you may want to call <a href="http://www.ultimatedisney.com/forum/vie ... >Disney Customer Service</a> (all the info is on there such as the number, when they're open, the fee to replace discs [$6.95] provided that they HAVE the DVD disc, and that you send them the whole DVD to them, etc...)

2.) Welcome to the forums, Nicky! I do hope you'll be posting a lot with other Disney fans! 8) It sure gets fun (and funny) around here! :)

Hope that answers your question. If you have more, feel free to post! Good luck with the B&tB disc! :thumb:

P.S. Dave and Dan, you two just got lucky with the welcoming! I wasn't near a computer tonight.

I'd also suggest calling the Disney hotline and tellng them that the disc may be defective.

My BatB DVD certainly doesn't have crackly audio... :o

My disc doesn't have crackling audio, but it does skip in one place, not a big deal, since it's not during a favorite part of mine...but maybe that's because i've watched it so many times since the day it came out.
It skips at: Belle is talking to the wardrobe and the wardrobe says" the master's really not so bad once you get to know him (skip) Belle: i don't want to get to know him...
But maybe I will call....thanks for the number.

Thanks everybody for the nice welcome :D
My DVD was factory sealed and brand new, so I think I'll call the Disney hotline. I'm from Canada, so I hope they'll be able to help me. It's one of my favourites, so I want to make sure it works well. :)

The Disney tech. guys are really helpful. They're going to check out my DVD, and pay for the postage which is a big help. Hopefully they can fix the problem. I'm not too sure if they will replace it though since it's only noticable on the theatrical version. I'm not the biggest fan of the Human Again song, so it would be nice to get a crisp sounding theatrical version. :)
