Finally, after years of resignation, i finally saw Cinderella 2 Dreams come true and have to admit, that this is a pretty darn good movie and moreover, it has THREE differents stories, 3 times the fun mate! The animation is pretty decent, as good as SpongeBob i said, the characters are in their full glory the colors are so gorgeous! I just hope a special edition of this will come out in october with the Platinu release of the first episode! Can't wait to see Tremaine back in time to make her own story just as did Timon and Pumbaa!

I did not find that movie any good at all.It was BAD!

I found Cinderella II to be good in the sense that:
1. It gave us more stories with Cinderella and the mice and everyone.
2. It made Anastasia likable (at least IMO).
3. It was a sequel that didn't need to follow that role-reversal patter.

But I found it bad in the sense that:
1. It gave us more stories, but they all basically did a 180 on many things from the first (the king not wanting peasants, yet he wanted "every eligible maiden" for a suitable mother...er wife for Prince Charming; Jacques suddenly feeling useless as a mouse, yet he helped a lot AS a mouse; Anastasia and Cindy getting along, yet she was horrible to her before).
2. It gave no mention to how horrible Anastasia was to Cinderella, and it irked me that they never addressed Cinderella forgiving her (but of course, she's Cinderella, so she most likely forgave and forgot off screen)
3. It was a sequel that had no true story to it, just three tied together.
4. Jacque and Gus-Gus said "Zug-Zug" in Cindy II when everyone knows it's "Zook-Zook"!!!

If they were going to make a sequel why not make it one whole story not 3 seperate ones

Hmm, well at least the idea of Princess Cinderella going to a ragged ball is better than the Stepmother using the Fairy Godmother's wand to travel through time!

As a matter of fact, I can't wait to see more story-inversions! Pinocchio the human wanting to become a real puppet in Pinocchio 2: The Magic of Acting Wooden, the Queen of Hearts dreaming that she falls up the rabbit hole into England in Alice in Wonderland 2: Tales from the Heart and Mary Poppins sliding down the bannester as normal in Mary Poppins 2: Bannester Magic!

Note that I was joking in the last paragraph.

I think that some people are to hard on C2!

True it is by no means a masterpiece, but there are films which are MUCH worse than this. Sometimes I feel people attack this and other Disney sequels because they are Disney sequels and some feel the should just automatically be attacked.

I am also willing to forgive C2 because it is not a *real* sequel, It is just the first 3 episodes of the TV series that never was. It's not as if Disney sat down and planned this as a sequel.
The animation is by no means as bad as some other stuff Disney have done and considering it was made for TV show it is certainly better than the animation in some Disney TV shows.

Also I feel that if you look for flaws and deliberately go into a film disliking it then you will. You could also sit down in front of the Lion King with the intention of looking for every flaw, every bit of off animation and with the intention of hating it, and if you do then you will hate it.

I know that some of you have already made up your minds about C2 and I feel that the reason most hate it is because it is a sequel to an older film which is less forgiveable than a sequel to a recent one.

I would just like to point out that I in no way support Disney's decision to make this or any other sequel or their plans to make future ones, but just because I do not support the idea it does not mean I will hate it if it isn't that bad.

Forgive me for being a purist, but we're pretty much talking about sequels to a movie that is 50 years old. It's not like the Brandy remake... I think, because I am a purist, that this is a frightening travesty to the original film. And the upcoming third? Only because so many people felt they had to see Cinderella 2! We bought it hooklinesinker and now we're going to pay the price for the kids who don't understand what quality entertainment is all about.

Cinderella II is not all that bad. I mean its not one of those movies that you want to sit still and watch and analyze. But its okay to pop in on a rain day when on the computer or falling a sleep Lol.

Cinderella 2 was ok, but i always defend Disney sequels because one of my old friends refused to watch them and said they were terrible without ever watching them. Old habits die hard.

But anyway, it was ok, a bit lameish and i was always one step ahead because the story line was predictable, but it did have that brilliant remix of Bibbiti Bobbiti boo, which i loved.

The only good thing about Cinderella 2 for me was the redeeming of Anastasia. Although, as mentioned before, they could've addressed the past more, it was nice to see that villains can be forgiven within the Disney realm. Even ones 50 years old, ugly, and relatively bitter.

can't wait for the redeeming of Jafar or Frollo... This waw completely absurd, a VILLAIN as to stay a VILLAIN, this is why sequels suck, they denaturalize the original movie. (Pocahontas2, Return of Jafar -Iago turn into a good guy, CHEAP!)

I thought it was pretty good, but then again I went in with low expectations....

Why is it even necessary to create a whole new topic for Cinderella II bashing

I haven't seen the movie yet, so I have no opinion about this movie.

cinderella 2 was ok, not the worst. the worst that I've seen is Trazan and Jane. It should be equal to cinderella but i had watched the tv series many times and they chose three boring episodes

Anyway, some of you are being way too protective of sequels, and some are being narrow minded about each movie as an individual. You should watch every movie with an open mind, even if it's bound to disappoint. And some should stop protecting these sequels, just because they have the Disney label. There are some much better features out there that need "protection" and a good word.

I don't see why all this bashing is necessary either. I am not a fan of the movie, however I didn't think it was garbage, just no where close to the original. Most people didn't like the movie, and that's fine but I think we should just leave it as a love/like/hate relationship.

A villain always being a villain is boring as well. And cheap. It makes them unhuman. Now, if they turned around and made a sequel where someone like Maleficent, or Jafar, or Ursula, or one of those kind of villains good, THAT would be horrible (Since they're dead, they couldn't really do that anyway). But the stepmother and stepsisters aren't EVIL. They didn't try to kill someone like most of the other villains did. In fact, out of all Disney's 'villains,' they are the most human ones of them. Nearly all of the others are so completely and utterly evil, they aren't even believable. Not that I don't like the other villains, because they have flair.

You'd be surprised how protective some people are when hearing a Disney bash fiesta.

And it's kind of sad that the main reason why Anastasia was so mean-spirited was because she needed a man.

What does this bode for Cinderella III? There's to be only 1 'ugly' stepsister?
