How about a checklist of Disney dvds owned by users?

I don't know if this would be possible, or feasible, especially if it would add to the bandwidth issues, but I was thinking...

It would be interesting to have a checklist that users could use to check off titles that they owned, similar to some of the DVD Collection websites, except this one would be limited in scope to the titles that are already listed on this site.

Forum users could have an icon on their posts that would link to their collection, if desired.

Of course, this might be considered a duplication of effort, since there are already websites that let users list their DVDs, and a UD member could just make a Disney folder on those sites. However, I feel that something that showed the titles we owned as well as the ones we didn't own (or a wishlist) might be useful.

If this feature WAS implemented here, I would like to see ways to sort it, such as including the Animated Classics, Live-Action, and other studios such as Studio Ghibli; or being able to exclude something like the direct-to-video sequels, etc. Discs from other regions could be listed, as well.

2099net began working on such a project not long ago. It's something I'd like to see, myself, but it does seem like a lot of effort to figure out and then maintain and keep updated. Maybe he can update us if there's been any progress.

I like this idea. I do have a list on another site but I'm not a paying member so I cna't make a seperate Disney folder. I know another site (dvdtoons.com) that has a dvd list like this but it only focuses on animation.

Not quite as useful for online showcasing, but in case you didn't know, there are printer-friendly checklists on the Animated Classics and Live Action pages (links are at the bottom of the lists), which you can show off to people in the real world. Though they're not so flashy.

What needs to be updated? As far as I can tell, it's all up-to-date. Well, maybe converting Cinderella to a checkbox. Anything besides that?

Instead of starting up a new thread, I'll just post my question on this one.
Luke, could you please update the checklist for the animated classics? There needs to be a check box for Cinderella. :)

Those movies aren't animated classics, they are DTVs. :)

Actually, all of those (or something close to them) were in theaters, but were not made by Feature Animation. Hence, they appear on the Other Animation page.
