Old Disney TV Program with Pet Crow?

I was recently thinking about a special I saw on what I believe was Disney Channel many years ago about a young girl that adopted a pet crow. It was live-action, and from what I remember, was probably from the late sixties or early seventies. Like I said, it was many years ago, so I don't remember any specific names or a whole lot else, for that matter.

I do remember that the crow liked shiny things and would get in trouble for taking the mother's jewelry, and it seems like the girl eventually set the crow free.

Sorry this is so vauge, but does anyone here know what I'm talking about? I'm pretty sure that this was part of something like the Wonderful World of Disney.

I'm remembering that both my mom and I enjoyed the story very much, and I'd like to know more about it. Any help in the matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I may be wrong, but I believe this is Inky, The Crow first aired on 12/07/69 and repeated 7/19/70 and 6/29/75.

Carol Lee is a 13 year old who befriends a crow covered with yellow paint. She takes him home to clean him up and decides to keep him for a pet, not realising that the crow has a mischevious nature.

Cast:

Deborah Bainbridge (Carol Lee)
Margo Lungreen (Mrs. Lee)
Willard Granger (John Lee)
Rowan Pease (Mr. Fletcher)

That's all, there doesn't seem to be much more information i'm afraid.

I used to have this show, copied from the Disney Channel in the mid 1980s. I enjoyed it but did not keep it in my collection when I "downsized" my VHS collection. It was a fun example of many of the "people/animal" relationship shows on the Disney anthology TV shows of the late 1960s and early 1970s.

I'm not aware of any VHS, laserdisc, or DVD release.

Thanks for the info guys! I'm just happy to know it actually exists and that I'm not crazy, LOL!

Wow, I was pretty close with guessing when it was released.

I'm not surprised it has never seen a video release. Sadly, Disney will really have to be scraping the bottom of the barrel before they release anything as obscure as this.

But it would be really cool to see again. Like I said, I remember it was something that both my mom and I enjoyed watching together, and I hang on to everything I possibly can when it comes to that.
