Disney to be forgotten?

What will happen when people start to forget about Disney lets say in about 100 years, this world will really be messed up by then. I truely think that Paramount, and Universal Pictures want to overrun Disney, because they seem to be coming up with a new movie every month. I will never ever forget about Disney, for I will be a 90 year old woman watching Dumbo in a rocking chair although people will probly think I will be a weirdo but I wont care I just hope that Disney never dies out !

I highly doubt Disney will be forgotten about after all the wonderful and enjoyable movies that have been made

There's no way Disney will be forgotten...It's just way too big a company for people to forget...

Look at Shakespeare. His works are still around after what, 400 years?
Many Greek and Roman philosophies and plays are still being learned in school...er, maybe College, not school (at least not Grades 1-12, unless you're in some superadvanced course)

Nope, I don't think Disney will be rubbed out and forgotten by any other companies in years to come.

I don't think DISNEY will
ever be forgotten.
So many people have encountered magical experiences because of Disney (i.e.: a little girl shopping for Ariel in the Disney store, GradNight spent at Disneyland [class of 2003!
], Disneyland overall, Disney movies...)

Yeah Disney is like Wal-mart one of those thing that wont die out unless something massive happenes in the course of Histroy that kills it but doubtful

As for Disney ending, it could very well happen. Look what happened to MGM and Orion.

Except I kinda will remember some from #2...
because I'm from California.
and if anyone collects CE, they'll remember Dinosaurs!

Disney are making almost a movie a moth as well, and The Walt Disney Company are so much more then movies. Disney are also in my opinion making more movies now then say 20 years ago. Take Pixar as an example. They make a new movie every second year and they are realy famous. I must say that I don't follow your logic here.
Disney have made themselves a extremely great reputation but it is up to them to be remembered by continue to make great movies. Before everybody talked about animations as Disney movies even if others had made it but now I saw an article mentioning Ice Age as a Pixar movie so I guess Disney is already on its way to the side when it comes to animation.

But hey, this is one of that marvellous things and events than anyone will forget ever.
I mean, how many childrens had had their first laugh because of a Disney movie or cartoon?
How many use-to-be childrens have grown with disney and now they lets their childrens--or little brothers--to see this movies.
how many maltreated(orphans,beated or worse)childrens have forget their cruel reality for a few moments when sawing a magic world for once?In a prince trying to save his beloved one from an evil witch or on an island of hawai, on the desert lands or even in a peacefull forest with a little fawn?
many migth think that becasue are growing or see many evil in this world, but when you see the face of a children or his very own eyes when looking a Disney masterpiece,you can find the magic on the movie, and see the very inocence of the child.
I can tell you something,and I´m very shure: Disney will not be easily forgoten

I don't think Disney will EVER be forgotten. The movies will be reissued every 10 years, making $$ for the company. Don't forget about the Disney Parks. People will want to revisit their childhood -- see what has changed in a few years.
I know I won't ever forget about Disney and if I ever have kids, they're going to be introduced to him.

No I don't think it'll be forgotten.
However Is hould add that I'm glad the Treasures came out when they did because I thought some of that was being forgotten. I also know a few kids who grew up not really knowing many of the old Disney shorts which kinda shocked me. Still I don't think people will forget even the shorts for a long, long time even if it has happened to many other old cartoon shorts.

i think that it is not likely for Disney to be forgotten, with Parks all around the world and tons of classic movies, it seems almost impossible

I dont' think that would ever happen....
besides, we could keep it alive if by some unexplained chance it was becoming forgotten....our kids can watch all of our very large disney collections...and make our grandkids watch them...and it will carry on forever.....

No way!!!
Disney is going to be around forever just as long as we keep showing them to our children and they'll show them to their children and so on and so on and so on. Until the sun collapses and destorys the whole solar system but that's not for another 200 billion years, so I think we're good.
