The Alias Discussion

Any Alias fans out there?

I'm officially addicted to this show now. I never really saw it before until a month or two ago, when I borrowed the Seasons 1-3 DVD's from a friend. I was hooked immediately, and watched all of the episodes! Now I'm all caught up and currently watching the new episodes from season 4.

Some people complain that they can't really get into the show, but if you were to watch it from the beginning, you would. It's made by the same creator of "Lost", (J J Abrams) and it works in a similar way. It's like one continous piece, so it can be hard to just jump in.

Anyway, I highly recommend this show. Any other fans around here?

Big Alias fan myself. I'm wondering why we haven't heard anything about season 4 dvds when all this stuff about Lost and Housewives is circling. Alias usually comes out in September.

Alias is in it's 4th Season playing on ABC at the moment. So reasons why there isn't any news about a DVD set of season 4 is because Season 4 isn't finished airing on TV.

I have been a fan of Alias since season 1 when it first aired on Sunday nights  I own the first 3 seasons on DVD and I can't get enough!

Yes, but Desperate Housewives and Lost are both still airing new episodes, and all three shows are released through Buena Vista, hence the confusion about why no Alias Season 4 DVD announcement yet.

I'm also a HUGE fan of this show. I don't know how to convince someone to watch this show without going out and buying the first season on DVD. That's really the only way to get hooked on this show. You must start at the beginning.

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4

So it seems Jack and Sloane are up to something. Do they have good intentions? Bad? What do you think will drive Sydney and Nadia apart, because obviously their relationship won't end well due to the the prophecy? And what's the deal with Vaughn's father?

So many mysteries.

If you love Lost, you definitely owe it to yourself to try Alias. As someone else mentioned, it's by the same creator, JJ Abrams.

Maybe they are releasing the dvds after season 1 airs its season finale? I'm confused now. (I know the season is gonna be released in September...)

Alias started late (first episode was in January... so we probably won't get season 4 on dvd for a while ('s what I'm thinking).

I tried watching 'Lost' once. Wasn't interested in it. When did the first episode air?

Glad to see some fans around here!

I am also curious to know when the Season 4 box will be released. It would make sense to release it in September as well.

SPOILER TALK

As far as all the mysteries, I am also curious what Jack and Sloane are up to. It doesn't seem like they would be up to no good, but I don't put that past anyone on this show!

Same with Vaughn's father-- I learned long ago to never assume anyone is dead! How many deaths/resurrections have we seen on this show! I'm still expecting to see Syd's mother again.

I was a big Alias fan but American Idol has taken my attention away from Alias for the moment.

My wife and I are huge Alias fans. I had heard good things about it, but never had the chance to watch seasons 1-3. Then, I was able to get a good deal on the Season One boxed set, and we were hooked.

As a fan of Buffy and Angel, I'm into the big season long story arcs Alias offers. I think it's some of the craftiest plotting on TV. I'm constantly amazed at how your entire attitude about characters can change from week to week, and it all makes perfect sense!

I think one of ABC's smartest decisions was to wait to premiere season 4 until after the box set fans had a chance to catch up. Then, airing it after Lost... Genius! I hear the ratings have been better than they were expecting, so hopefully this means more seasons to come!

Unfortunately, the January premiere probably will throw off the premiere of season 5 and the next boxed set, but I'm hoping we'll see in October or November... A man can HOPE, can't he? :)

When It comes to this show, I try to avoid all spoilers.

I've been watching since the beginning. I thought that the show they aired after the Superbowl started a downward spiral that they're slowly crawling back up.

Syd's cute, but Nadia's cuter. :p
