New Film Ideas from fans

I was in choir today day dreaming about what kind of animated feature disney could make (i know i should've been paying attention to class, but oh well, lol), and it occured to me that if i made a topic on here maybe people would begin talking about the ideas we have and disney may pick them up! so here are my ideas for new movies...

Cleopatra- I think this way they could introduce a new princess and overall it's an intreguing idea. My only problem is it would seem very similar to pocahontas. i mean the whole roman's are coming over and she falls in love with the foreigner as so on, but besides that i think they could develop this into a pretty good musical. i say musical bc i want disney to make more musicals. It also might end up being too much like the prince of egypt, i mean with the style of animation and the style of the music that would be put into it. i also like this idea bc it would add an africa princess into the line, which is something i've always been shocked about bc i would've thought jessie jackson would tried to cause a muk about this by now, lol.

Rumplestiltskin- Yes, he is a villian of sorts but i could see disney making him a heroic type villan. This could be a comedy telling his side of the story instead of how it is usually told. I've always liked this fairy tale and i think disney with some effort could easily addapt it.

What are some of your ideas?

Actually, I believe Cleopatra was of Greek/Roman descent, so although she was an African ruler, she wouldn't have actually been African. I would like to see a good Cleopatra film made (a step up from the Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton production), but I don't think a Disney animated feature is the right way to do it. Too much drama for a Disney film! :)

Hm...

I remember posting an idea about a year ago suggesting that Disney could do a traditional, 2D animated film based on Swan Lake using Tchaikovsky's music (a la "Sleeping Beauty").

It IS a fairy tale of sorts...

Mmm.. the French have 2 comic character based Cleopatra movies (one animated and one live action) so maybe that would be another reason Disney might not do a Cleopatra animated movie but who knows, if creativity ensued, Disney could always make something unique and entertaining :)

It's a better and more intriguing idea than any sequel ;)

(Deathie has a few DVD Cleopatras, like Vivian Leigh, Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, and Monica Bellucci. If Disney made one i would do a reyquila :excellent: )

Cleopatra would be perfect! who cares if it has the same storyline as Pocahontas, it's a whole new generation! and so what if the french has made several versions of Cleopatra? Beauty and the Beast was also already done by the french before Disney made it. Plus, she'd be an awesome new Princess, although she is a queen....

Swan Lake was already done by Fox, they called it "Swan Princess"

here are my suggestions:

The Emperor and the Nighttingale - there is a version of this story that involves a prince looking for the mythical bird to cure his ailing father.

The Snow Queen - although the story seems a bit complicated, a little Disney tweaking could turn this into a real treat.

Nursery Rhymes - It puzzles me why Disney hasn't done a feature based on them yet, it would make for a cute satirical one. Mary becomes little Red riding Hood and it's up to her lamb to rescue her from the wolf ^_^.

me and my friend are always thinkin up new ways thatb disney should have as 2d animated classics...

I LOVE the cleopatra idea and i believe it would have a very nice unique look to it, something disney needs lately.

Ive reworked "Rapunzel" to be more disney-ish...in my story she is a daughter of peasants who died due to a fire in the kingdom, and the king and queen out of sympathy for thier people, take her in as their own. Years later when she's 16 (the magic princess age), the truth is revealed to her, and she accepts it..but an evil witch who wants to take over the kingdom decides to kidnap rapunzel, at this point her hair is already long, and she is kidnapped in a big ballroom scene, her hair is in tangled, until she is snatched by the witch's dragon, and it loosens, then a blacksmith in the kingdom that has talked with rapunzel a couple times, take sit upon himself to go after the witch to save her....like i said...a very different interpretation.

oh well...

i'm glad some others like the cleopatra idea too! :D i would love to see disney do this!!!

I agree that it's surprising that disney hasn't done anything with nursury rhyms. then again, the silly symphonies kind of went along that line so maybe that's why.

it was mentioned b4 but i think it would fit here too...

A Kingdom Hearts movie! come on, you know we'd all love that!

awww that's a really cute version, my version of Rapunzel had the evil witch and her mother being sisters and the witch jealous of the prosperity of her sister's life so kidnaps her daughter, Rapunzel.

Disney is doing a movie based on rapunzel! it was originally called Rapunzel Unbraided and was going to be a lot like Shrek ever CG, but i think disney has switched gears and is gonna make this a classic-like movie, as far as the CG part, i believe that is still a go. There was a thread about this not too long ago, here's the link!

I too have been dreaming up new stories for Disney Traditional animation(even went to far as to make posters and character designs for them)

Here are four of the 5 I made:

The Emperor and the Nighttingale - An unnusually smart young prince (about 9 years old) becomes crowned Emperor of his kingdom after it is learned that his father is dying. The young Emperor decides to resort to an old legend about the mysterious magical nighttingale to cure his father. He then goes with his trusty bodyguard and a fugitive on a journey to the forbidden beastly kingdom to find the nighttingale.

Sheep - pretty much like the story i posted before, Mary's Little Lamb goes on a search for Mary as she is kidnapped by an evil wolf. The Lamb is accompanied by Humpty Dumpty (who is looking for his missing piece which was stolen by the wolf) and Baa Baa, the black sheep who has also been wronged by the wolf... hilarity ensues.

The Snow Queen - A young girl must rescue her friend who was taken by the evil Snow Queen who is cursed by the dark mirror.

Dragon Tower - based on the lost Animal Kingdom ride, A group of renegade bats plot to steal the treasure of an evil, greedy dragon. "Robin Hood with Bats"

The Legendary Voyage of Sindbad - based more on the Tokyo DisneySea version, Sindbad's treasure has been stolen and with a bruised ego, goes on a journey to find it. Along the way, he meets a beautiful female Genie and encounters his long lost mother. (the extra D is in Sindbad is intentional)

sorry i got carried away....^_^

Did you guys see the Rapunzel pic in the post linked??!!!!
It's style is quite similar to Sleeping Beauty!!!! Look at the waist part of the dress, it's very much like Princess Aurora's.

there's been a movie about the Emperor and the Nightingale done by Czech animator Jiri Trnka (very good I mght add) back in 1951. and a movie about the Snow Queen directed by Russian director Lev Amanatov (sp?).. but Disney can still do their own version. there's been two versions of Sinbad I believe other animators have done .

Sailormoon movie fantasy

It's just my little fantasy, but I'd just be living in a dream if Disney made a Sailormoon movie. Perhaps, they could do five, one for each season; maybe they can make even more if they split the seasons even deeper, which is possible because some seasons have two story parts that sometimes are completely irrelevant to each other. It'd be so cool (!!!)

I can totally see season 1 into 2 movies; 1st could be up to the princess revelation and the second movie up til the end of the season with the final battle against the Dark Kingdom.

Thinking about it, it would be somewhat darker than all other Disney movies, but it would certainly be very touching. Any Sailormoon fan knows that... LOL

But it's just my little fantasy  If it happened, it'd probably be in many years ahead when TOEI (Sailormoon's production company) stops milking the cow with Sailormoon. It'd be very nice if Disney someday bought the rights and made a movie.

I made a drawing of Princess Serenity a la Disney. It's very 'Ariel'; I'll later make more drawings but with a different style because Serenity is more graceful, kind looking than Ariel. Ariel style suits Sailormoon herself more, but not the princess. The princess should be more Aurora-esque.

The Sailormoon movies are perfect the way they are....I think the first few episodes of SailorStars should be a movie though all 10 solar system senshi together....

Yeah, but if you're taking about the Sailormoon movies, we're not on the same track... I'm talking about the tv series...
The Neherenia arc in SailorStars definitely could be a movie... But I'd like each season to be converted into a movie or two... It could be possible.

I don't think so, The first season and the S season require too much character development, Stars as a whole could be a good movie

by Sailor Eric
Yeah, that could be a problem. But I do think that they could break the first season into two movies, and two good movies. Of course, the movies would be at least 2 hours.

The first, as I had said, up to the princess revelation part, including the abduction of Tuxie, but without introducing evil Tuxie. I think that would be an excellent ending because it's just really touching and, well, exciting... I'm not such a good describer... It would also leave for a second movie, and surely it would be anticipated since we'd have such a cliffhanger.

The second would be about Evil Tuxie and Usagi's sorrow, ending with the defeat of the Dark Kingdom, and perhaps including the 'amnesia' of the girls. Oh wow!!! Imagine the part when they go the the moon and meet Queen Serenity, and imagine the Silver Millenium!!!! How cool!!!

I'm dreaming!

'S' season should also have two parts. The first would be up to the appearance of the Holy Grail and Super Sailormoon. Surely leaves room to develop Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
Then, in the second movie, we'd continue to the end of the season. It would also make a good movie because of Chibiusa's relationship with the lonely, kind, but schizophrenic Hotaru, the whole mesiah stuff etc.

What if disney were to create a Zelda movie? me and a friend always thought that could be a good idea!

by Sailor Eric
Oh wow!!!! Thinking about it, Disney could definetely make an adaptation; Zelda has basic elements that are common in Disney movies: a princess, a hero (not prince in this case), an evil one... It's a completely cool idea!!!!

I'd love to see "Ocarina of Time" made into a movie!!! But I don't knowif I want to see Disney-fied characters. I just really love the art style of Ocarina of Time. I would hate a movie with the new Zelda art style though.
