I found out that on some of the disney release like little mermaid, and beauty and the beast songs lyrics or the complete language wasn't the same as I remembered seeing and listening in vhs
Like in Litlle mermaid Flounder used to be called Polochon in VHS version and on my dvd version he's called Barboteur and lyrics of the song part of that world and under the sea had changed much.part of that world have the same meaning but in different words .I was wondering if it happens in other disney release or if someone in France if maybe that would be the French version of France instead of the French version of Quebec .There is probably chance that would be it because I don't know if the limited issue were issued in Canada because I got mine on Ebay so maybe the language track differ from
USA release and Canada ...

Well, you're right sometiems there are differences of translations betwen French and Canadian Franch in the translation, as msot of the times, Canadinans make a too much literal and word-by-word translation.

For The Little Mermaid, I have the French Limited Issue on DVD, and depsite the fact that it was not the same dubbing as my old French VHS (with only Ariel and Ursula being the same voices) and the names and song lyrics remained the same. And Flounder in French is Polochon in either version

But ou know, maybe the version you're talking about is a redubbing in French Canadian and that they've decided to change the names and lyrics.

And comparing Canadian French and "France French", the song lyrics aren't the same at all, beacuse, as I was saying earlier, the French Candian make a literal and word-by-word translation of English.
