Of course, the Fantastic Four 90's series wasn't very good. Shame it wasn't the Hanna Barbera series with Herbie (but that is in Copyright rights <strike>hell</strike> heck for now).

I really want the Superheroes '66 collection to be released (word is it won't, despite being on Amazon's listings). But I still have it on order, just in case.

man, I was so excited to hear that announcement and it's killing me that it got canned... there were some R2 DVD's that got released last year I think, but supposedly the quality is horrendous and there's only a handful of episodes one each. I was drooling over the thought of a complete boxed set collection!

What did you think of the 60's Spider-man collection?

Well, fingers crossed, it could still happen. After all, Spider-Man: The Vemon Saga was cancelled at one point for the same reasons (royalty/copyright issues with Marvel Entertainment Corp).

It's good. Until you get to the final episodes which are nothing more than brightly coloured drug induced fantasies, with no recognisable Spider-Man elements.

But the set still gets a  from me!

I've seen all the episodes and like them all, even the crazy ones. :)

I never picked up the sdet when it came out because it was on TV daily but now I might consider picking it up. I hope it has some cool bonus features. I should read up one it offers.

It wasn't cancelled it was only delayed to June 7th, 2005 in the U.S.

I never saw the 1960's version of The Fantastic Four series but I wouldn't like Hanna Barbara to replace Human Torch with H.E.R.B.I.E.. Anyways I thought the 90's version was great along with all the guest stars superheroes.

Is Herbie, like Herbie the car with # 53 ? Or is it something else ?

Excuse my stupidity in asking this question.

H.E.R.B.I.E. is a robot that took Johnny Storm place since the studio didn't want kids to put themselves on fire like the Human Torch.

This is H.E.R.B.I.E not the Disney car. Marvel's Fantastic Four took out H.E.R.B.I.E. before Disney took out the car.
