Welcome to the forum

Just a question for you: what DVD-rom is it? (i mean brand wise).

The DVD-Roms only work on Windows PCs...if you have a Mac, you're simply outta luck there, cowboy.

Even though swearing doesn't be me that much, although unnescessary swearing does! And there are plenty of ways you could have responded without delving to the such levels.
There are many people here who do not care for such language and there are also lots of young kids who could be browsing!

What software are you using? I've found that PC Friendly / Interactual can throw problems some time, but I've had very few problems with WinDVD.

Sincere apologies all round on the faux pas... I was only trying to make a point and did'nt realize that one would consider a single word as excessive. No worries...I'll do a quick edit straight away. But, as said, if you have a Mac you're left out in the cold as usual. I find that to be true with just about every DVD-Rom special feature disc I have...not ONE will play on a Mac...guess Mr. Gates 's got a real lock on the market. Sort of ironic, considering the most sucessful branch of Disney (Pixar) is owned by the creator and CEO of Apple...you'd think with just that relationship alone they'd make their discs more Mac-friendly. Oh well...guess there's always "Virtual PC" for my eMac, though I hear it runs Windows about as slowly as it would if I were running it my old iMac G3.

I have the same problem on my new PC. I am runing PowerDVD ver. 5, but even trying under WMP they will not play. I think it is related to the Disney copy protection and the fact that I have DVD burning equipment on my PC. I just haven't had the time to resolve this yet.

Waaaahoooo! Thanks very much for the tip...guess ol' Stevie Jobs must've given the House of Mouse a little whatfor (imagine harsh language) 'cos I can remember back as far as "Tarzan" that the special ROM discs were Windows compatible ONLY. Excellent!

well thanks for some of the tips, i really think is just my Plextor dvd burner just has a hard time reading them, and i dont think its because i may have dvd burning software cuse i cant open it with any kind of dvd software or any that would recognize a dvd. also im using the roxio dvdmax player
my sister use to have just a normal dvd-rom drive on her computer and i asked her if it read the disney dvds ans she said it did, so maybe i just need to get a dvd rom drive that can play them.
does any one watch the disney dvds on their computer and if so what dvd-rom do you have?

i use the one already installed on my laptop..and i either use InterActual Player, MediaPlayer, or Cliprex to watch the movies.
InterActual sucks and sometimes closes in the
middle of the movie, but the times when it doesn't act up, it's fine.
