Music Help...

I need help:

This weekend I heard a CD, but I can't remember the guy's name. It's instrumental, and has an old-world, almost Greek-meets-Latin-type feel to it. I can't really describe it. But right now he's on a tour of Europe, and last year he was up for a Juno award for ?best instrumental album?. He is Canadian.

If anyone can offer up any names, I'd really appreciate it.

I think you are talking about a guy that goes by a couple of names.

Yuri Sazonoff/George Carlaw. For whatever reason he uses a different name in Europe than he does in North America.

Does instrumentals versions of Russian folk songs.

He was born in Russia although I believe he is a Canadian citizen now.

How about I Sorenti? I Sorenti is more of a group headed by Bob De Angelis. They won best instrumental album at the Junos for 'Italian Love Songs'. :)

Yeah except he called it a guy and not a band, or it would have worked too.
