Ok so i've never seen either of the Fantasias but when they were released in 2000 i wasnt all that interested in dvds.
But now i really want both Fantasias and dont think i can wait until like 2010 or something.........

But then after searching all the internet i finally found these:
http://www.101cd.com/video/info.asp?id=6040187
http://www.101cd.com/video/info.asp?id=6040188

Shall i buy them or not? Also does anyone have any scans of there Fantasia R2 dvd covers? Im interested to know what they look like since they use the old Walt Disney Classics logo which i dont like.

You should definitely buy both Fantasia movies.
But I'd recommend you the Fantasia Anthology released in the US, which has both movies plus a 3rd bonus feature disc. It's the best set ever released for the movies since the region 1 version of this 'Anthology' has more bonus features than the other regions's.

I bought my region 1 copy of the Fantasia Anthology last summer on eBay. Well, anyway, the box set is now OOP so you'll only find it second hand (by that I don't necesseraly mean "used"). So yeah : on eBay, amazon.com Marketplace, etc. The usual places.
But in any case, beware of bootlegs ! :)

I would beware of what dvd I bought. I bought both of them on dvd before they went out of print. But you better be careful of bootlegs.

You can ge good deals on ebay, just make sure you ask questions first, ask if its an import or a bootleg, if all inserts are still there and all that. Save the responses in case you still get a boot.

this is legit for example:

Yeah you must do all that and prefer the items where personnal photos are shown 'coz the stock photos hide some times bootlegs. And of course, red very carefuly the description of the items.

The one I posted is 100% legit, you are safe with that one. trust us, the R1 anthology is one of the finest sets Disney has ever released.

I was just wondering how you were getting on with your order? I too would like a region 2 copy of Fantasia but I'm put off by the expensive prices on ebay and from amazon sellers. The site you posted the link to has quite a few out of print Disney DVDs so I'm a bit dubious about it. I have the region 1 Fantasia Anthology which is excellent but I'd read somewhere on Ultimate Disney that the region 2 DVD was the same version as the VHS release from 1990, so I wanted to get it and have both versions on DVD.

That is true and if you only want the different version of Fantasia you could could just get the 1 disc release

It is available new here: http://www.101cd.com/video/info.asp?id= ... sptnr=9691

Just listen to what other people say and base your decision on that, if you get a chance to buy it then buy it, Fantasia is a real classic. :) I know I could get it right a way from a store near my school, but if there's a better version coming then I'll just wait for that.

Yeah the fantasia anthology is really great .Me too I know 2 stores that still carries it new in canada but I think that if you buy the anthology on ebay since you have to get the box there is a lot less of bootlegs as for all boxset.
