Disneyland - Rainbow Caverns Mine train mystery

I am fascinated by this old attraction, now in Yesterdayland....
Does anyone know if any part of this attraction still exists today ?.. I am aware of the one piece of track with the mine car that is still visible to the public from Frontierland, but I was wondering if anyone (castmembers ?) know if there is anything underground left of the caverns ?
Inside the caverns there was pools and waterfalls of brightly colored, glowing water. The illuminated glowing water allowed you too see stalagmites and stalactites of the cave.
I'm wondering if the cave entrance that is visible to the public leads to where the glowing water was ?... (It's just a mystery that I'd like to get solved). I am thinking the cavern may have been inside the demolished Cascade Peak. Can anyone clarify this ?
