Wow, this dvd is going to be beautiful! i can't wait to get it! it in one of my favorite disney movies ever, and i'm sooooo happy that the restoration went so well!

I can NOT wait for this DVD! This is my favorite Disney movie of all time and to finally add it to my DVD collection in one week is fantastic!

I have'nt watched my vhs copy of "Bambi" for over two months just so I can be dazzled by the DVD when it came out...I can hardly wait for this one, boy!

For having the Euroepan release laready, I cazn confirm that the picture quality is pretter good but I gotta admit not as good as I expected.
I mean, Disney avertised that the resotration of Bambi was the msot ambitious one ever made for a Disney film. However, I was personnally more stunned with the restoration of Snow White of the ME of Alice than with Bambi's. But maybe it comes from the fact that I've seen less Bambi in my childhood than the other 2 I was mentionning....

Generally speaking, I think Disney has one of the greatest restoration teams around. I have been impressed with the restored classic films, as well as the re-issue soundtracks like Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan. I'm confident that Bambi will look wonderful, especially compared to the old, grainy VHS version.
The exception i would put into this category would be Dumbo. I was really disappointed by how grainy Dumbo looked on it's 60th anniversary release. Let's hope Bambi doesn't suffer the same fate.
