Several years ago when I visited MGM Studios in Orlando, they had a video hosted by Robin Williams.
One segment had various scenes from Disney movies, old and new, that focused on the high emotions of their films.
Action, happiness, sadness.

I remember when the sadness part came up, most of the people in our tour group were adults and just about everyone's eyes were full of tears. They had the Baby Mine scene in Dumbo, Bambi's mother's death scene, Mufasa's death, etc. I forget what movie they made it up to. I think just up to Pocohonatas.

It was a great video. Would have loved to bought it. Anyone else see it? I think they have since updated it, as they do every few years to get the new movies into it.

I've seen it for the first time a few WDW visits ago, and everyone in the theatre reacted the same way. I would love to get this on DVD, possibly in a treasure!

Unfortunately, this video is no longer played at Disney-MGM because they got rid of the Animation Studio there

Now it is an okay, fun family film with Mushu and he talks to the real live animator, not animatronic (!), about the animation process. I guess the highlight of the film is seeing a real animated version of the proposed turkey sidekick for Pocahontas.

The "stage" is made to look like an animator's office and after you see the film you exit how you came in, surprisingly they don't direct you to the art gallery or gift shop like they used to. When we went summer 04 the animator guy explained to us that they were renovating the studios for a new attraction. We doubted this, but my sister, who was a CP, told us they were turning it into an interactive animation place thinger (probably like the one in DCA). Anyhow, it was very disappointing that they took out the Robin Williams video, but hopefully they'll screen it again when they put in the other new stuff (they do screen it at DCA). Anyhow, the funny thing though was that the animator guy knew this "Animation Tour" he was hosting was craptacular and told us to go to Universal Studios.

LOL, I remember that Kram.

The Robin Williams video rocked! It had him animated into a lost boy from Peter Pan, and even had Walter Cronkite. Of course, it was definitely dated when you see the clothes on everyone else and the balloons in the background (much like in Muppet 3-D).

I haven't had a chance to see the "tour" yet since I've been here. I'll probably check it out on a day off (which unfortunately won't be until next wednesday as I decided to get some overtime and gave up my Friday and Saturday this week).
