Shorts on Disney DVD's

Hello all!

I'm curious as to everyone's thoughts on including old Mickey/Donald/Goofy/Pluto/Whomever shorts on current release DVDs. I'm not sure if Pocohontas: 10th Anniversary Edition has one or not, but I feel that it should.

These shorts are nothing short (forgive the pun :P ) of classic, and should be exposed to as wide an audience as possible in my opinion. I'm sure that out of the hundreds of shorts produced by Disney, they could find one or two that fit with whatever movie they are releasing (New or Old).

For example,
Aladdin: Platinum Edition could have included the short Mickey In Arabia. Most of these shorts are under 10 minutes long, and probably wouldn't take up much space on a disc, and many of them have already been remastered.

Hopefully Disney will continue to put shorts on their 2-disc sets, although I was disappointed to see that Mulan: Special Edition didn't come with any (But I bought it anyways  ).

I'm curious to know what everyone thinks of this subject

I think that's a good idea; a few of the gold collection ones had shorts on them. As I understand, however, Mickey in Arabia is actually an "offensive" vault one, so I doubt it would get such wide release.
Pocahontas would be cool if it had the Haiwatha Silly Symphony (I do believe that this is indeed a Disney Silly Symphony and not a Merrie Melody).

You're right, Mickey In Arabia is indeed an "offensive" from the vault release. However, I was just using it as an example of pairing appropriate shorts with the appropriate movie.

The Haiwatha Silly Symphony is indeed a great pairing with Pocohontas and that's the kind of thing I was thinking about.
