Has anyone foundn a DVD sales chart of 2004? I'm curious to know how Aladdin, Mulan, and to a lesser extent, Alice in Wonderland placed. Thanks!

<i>Brother Bear</i> and <i>The Lion King 1 ½</i> were Disney's two biggest sellers by far.

Cool, interesting stuff. I've got 9 on that list I believe unless I miscounted. I went fast.

I'm glad Brother Bear was such a big seller but I'm quite surprised Aladdin isn't up there.

I usually don't pay much attention to DVD sales but now I'm getting kinda curious.

It's worth pointing out that the list is sorted by revenue. So if Disney had a massive ad campaign for <i>Aladdin</i>, then it would need to sell more copies to make the list. For instance, you'll notice <i>The Day After Tomorrow</i> sold more copies than either of Disney's top two, but it didn't make as much revenue.

Also, using the information Luke has provided, for example, the Star Wars Trilogy sold 4.7 units, less than The Lion King 1 1/2 and Brother Bear, yet the Star Wars Trilogy ranks at #3.

Just for curiosity's sake, here's those 17 titles in the ranking of units sold . . .

There isn't TOO much of a difference in the order, except for the more expensive box sets.

I didnt know Brother Bear was that much of a sucess, are those just the US firgures though? Now its making me want to buy the dvd even more now as i've never seen it before......

So that means Aladdin and Mulan sold less than 2.3 million units? That is certainly surprising, and a big blow to Disney's animated DVD cannon. If I'm not mistaking, those two, along with Alice and Wonderland, are the lowest selling 2-Disc DVDs of the slipcover era! That is very incredible!...

Well, does that mean the big chain stores will finally reduce their DVD prices to a normal $15?

Was "OLD SCHOOL UNI" really a catalog title? I assume this is the revenue from a reprice.

Considering a reprice of a mediocre gross-out comedy is on the list, and Aladdin and Mulan aren't is a bit of a surprise.

Interesting to see Family Guy on the list too. And how was Band of Brothers no 1?

Anything not released in 2004 qualifies. Hence, the inclusion of Nemo and Pirates, released on DVD just a month and two before the start of 2004.

I wonder how well Gargoyles sold? I'm really anxious to know if it will lead to the rest of the Disney cartoons.

Yikes! Well people have the right to state their opinions.

Looks like dvd sales did excellenty well in 2004. I am glad that Brother Bear is on that list, I recently got a dvd and watched the movie for the first time and I love that movie. Very touching.
