Great Treasures find

While looking around at a small book/movie store in Toronto today, I came across a new & sealed copy of "The Complete Goofy" Walt Disney Treasures tin number 17,681 of 125,000 for only $29.95 Canadian, about $24 USD. They also had "Behind the Scenes" for the same price, but I already have that one.
Now, the only one I want to get is "Silly Symphonies", though I don't know where to start looking.

You were very lucky to have found it still sitting around on a shelf in a store. Your chances of locating "Silly Symphonies" in a store like you did "Goofy" are very slim, so your best bet is on eBay. But prepare to pay a premium.

You might want to get the Region 2/PAL version of Silly Symphonies instead. The Region 2 version have a UNcensored version of 'Three little Pigs'!

A thing I'll never understand
Buena Vista Germany cuts and shortens any kind of Disney release but in this case the German version is better.

I have the complete Goofy Treasures but I want to pick up one for a couple of my friends. I thought it would be easy since I knew of two stores that still had copies in my area but that was last July.... now they seem to be gone... well I checked October 2nd and they were gone. I'm disappointed I couldn't gt it for them.
I just hope they don't suddenly want On the Front Lines. I've seen copies laying around still in local stores and they have no interest at all in that set and it better stay that way. I'll go crazy if they are suddenly interested and it's all gone.

You can still get every Walt Disney Treasures set (except for Silly Symphonies) through the Disney Movie Club... up to 3 copies of each, and at a good discount if you buy a wave as a set.

I've looked through the list of DVDs on the Disney Movie Club website, and I can't see any of the treasures there. Where do I go to find them?

You can only get the first two waves over the phone w/ DMC. Check out the site's DMC forum for lots of info on this.
