Are u going to buy Sleeping Beauty Platinum having the SE?

Taking in consideration the SE already came packed with extras, a video restoration and a 5.1 sound (altough not impressive)...
As for me: no.
I don't love the movie. I just like it and for me it's enough as it is.
PD
Didn't include Maybe or Don't know because I'd like to know the answers for people who already know.
... you have 1 week to vote.
Again, a reminder:
This is for the people who was the SE

No, I'm extremely satisfied. The only incentive for me to buy the Platinum would be if Disney added a meatier, more in-depth "making of" documentary in the style of other Platinum documentaries such as Snow White. The featurettes on the SE are good, but not really up to Platinum standards. If you only add up the video features that deal with the actual production (not the vintage shorts, but the retrospective featurettes, storyboards, etc.), you only have about an hour's worth of features. What impressed me the most about the DVD was the collection of galleries, which are possibly the most extensive ones I've seen on a DVD (even moreso than Snow White's). Otherwise, what's there is good enough for me.

Why are they releasing a so-called BETTER sleeping beauty DVD.

NO.

For the moment, I would say no.
I adore
Sleeping Beauty and it's one of my favorite Disney animated films, but I'm quite pleased with the SE that came out in '03. Unless the re-release/issue has something(s) different that makes it utterly mind-blowing... the answer will remain no.

For me...yes and no. I am satisfied enough with my special edition as it is. However, as a Region 2 customer, I'm annoyed that BVHE UK didn't include a few extras on the US release (no audio commentary, no trailers), as well as a pan and scan version of the film. I know, you're thinking I'm crazy saying that there was no pan and scan alongside with the widescreen, but it would be nice to just have a digital peak at the version of the film I saw growing up (I never wore out any videos as a kid, but our Sleeping Beauty video is the closest that has come to breaking). If the platinum region 2 version is an improvement, I will probably get an upgrade (I'm also hoping the 10 minute making of documentary will be replaced by a better 50 minute one). If not, no.

I will.....it shouldn't be coming out for a while (I'm thinking at least 5 years away), plus I really want to get all the platinums.

I'm with Kelly, the DVD will probably be different and won't be coming out for quite some time, plus I too want all of the Platinums...
**P.S. on the subject of Platinums, When
Peter Pan comes out on P.E., and I buy it, should I get rid of my Special Edition (not Limited Edition) dvd *by that I mean sell*? I'm pretty sure there will be one of those money back slips too- for more money

If you decide to "get rid of or sell" the SE Peter Pan, you should sell it months before the Peter Pan PE comes out. There's not that many devoted Disney (DVD) fans out there like us so they'd probably think the Peter Pan Special edition will be
extremely rare. ya know?

Or will Aurora be wearing the right color dress in her slumber?
I think both are just too much to ask for. d:

Do you mean you want a prominent Ursula on the cover but are afraid Disney will skimp on that because she may scare little children?

are we gonna re-buy everything on Blue-Ray? that is the real question. Are we collector's crazy enough to play the format game along? I'm sure the Bue-Ray quality will be mindblowing but is it mindblowing enough to replace an entire collection? I'm curious to see how it all works out.

Well basically I had the enire Disney collection on VHS when DVD came out. But now I will only buy a Disney movie I have, if it gets a new edition such as Platinum, Special, etc.
