Disneyland's 50th Commercial

Has anyone else seen this commercial? The one with all of the different characters rendered in CGI.
I really enjoy the commercial (it's well done), but I don't like the CGI. If that's what Dumbo was to look like in Dumbo 2, thank goodness it's been cancelled.

Yeah, it's been playing quite a bit late at night (who'd have thunk it?) It irks me because its obvious Disney thinks having the characters in computer animation somehow makes them more appealing, when I feel the exact opposite.

I saw Disneyland's 50th Commercial on the day of the Rose Parade on January 1. I thought it was very creative for Disney but they advertised it too much that day. They showed it like every commercial break.

I saw it on New Year's Day and can't tell you how excited it got me. I've been wanting to see it again but so far haven't. I know that at the Orange Bowl, Disney gave a way a theme park pass to everyone in the stadium to promote the anniversary, a move that could costs millions if they are all used.

I saw it for the first time yesterday night. And Dumbo in 3-D scares the hell out of me. Could he
be anymore uncute?
That said... my friend and I have
GOT to go to this Disneyland this year! We live about an hour away from Anaheim and have never collectively been there (last time I went was during GradNite in 2003). ): Sucks to be jobless college kids.

What channels has this been playing on? I'm very fascinated in seeing Disney characters in CGI, regardless of how eerie they may look. Also, what characters show up in it?
EDIT: I've found the commercial online here:
http://destinations.disney.go.com/parks ... dex?bhcp=1 It was really hard to tell what the quality of the CGI was like due to the choppy stream video (why couldn't they have it in glorious Quicktime?) but I really liked what I saw, anyway. One thing I really liked was how they managed to get Cinderella's dress color right (silver as opposed to the blue they keep using in clipart and merchandise). I guess rendering her gown in silver is a lot easier in CGI than in 2-D.

I saw it during All My Children a couple days ago, and I have to say, at first I thought it was a new CGI movie, then I realized it was the 50th Anniversary commercial.

I actually didn't think it was that bad! The CGI is actually of a really good quality! I much prefer the look of the characters there than the CGI in Shrek, Shark Tale or The Incredibles!

Wow, ironically, I'm having the same opinion as you! even the
GradNite 2003!

[They should give discounts for college students

and i thought Stitch was the only cute one in that commericial.
I didn't see Winnie the Pooh

, but they'd probably make him UGLY in CGI!

Thanks for the link

I like it

It's hard to see the characters clearly but they looked okay to me. Wish they'd play these ads over here

I thought Dumbo looked kinda creepy. I don't think Winnie the Pooh is in the commercial. I liked seeing Genie and Iago stuck at the tollbooth and I also liked seeing Stitch pulled over on his motorcyle by the cop.

I am in shock!
This ad just appeared on UK TV!
However it was strangely advertising Disneyland Paris!

I think ALL Disney parks are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Disneyland. After all, the
concept of Disneyland is also selling its 50th anniversary. Smart way to make money, having people flock to ALL parks across the world.

Yes, but the commercial wasn't advertising Disneyland's 50th, it was just a general ad for Disneyland Paris! Disneyland's 50th wasn't even mentioned.

No I dont have any quarters gosh Ilaughed so hard when I saw Egao yelling at that guy. And Stitch was cute as usual

always my favorite character to make apperances. But the whole CGI concept on the other characters just didnt do anything for me. They looked scary not bashing the quality or anything but its just hard to see characters once
2-D CGI. But Kuddos to Disney for creativity

I saw it on New Year's Day, and it makes me want to go to Disneyland again.
Unfortunately I did that last year for Mother's Day. And being an unemployed college student, I don't have the money, either.
