Australian R4 "Honey" Boxset Brief review

The specs of the discs are easy to repeat, being as none of them come with any supplements what-so-ever ("Special Collectors Edition" my ass). The first two (theatrical) films are 1.85:1 and anomorphically enchanted for widescreen televisions, while the final DTV film is full screen. All three only have English DD 5.1 soundtracks, but a selection of subtitles including English and Swedish.
I won't bother to review the first two films. Picture quality is fine, but I wouldn't class it as exceptional. They're just an above average transfers of reasonably old films. It goes without saying that they're a vast improvement over the VHS releases.
I will mention a bit about the third film, as I guess it’s the film most people won't have seen. All in all it's quite fun, with a number of one liners. However, it does, to a certain extent seem like a re-run of the superior original, and it does look cheaper. But I would still recommend it to anyone for a rental, and the packrat in me just loves having all three films in a nice boxset.
Shame that there's no supplements – surely Disney could have at least included trailers. I would also like to see some information on the "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience" theme park attraction. I hope a Vault like Special Edition of the first film is not too far away from Disney US.
Interesting facts about the third film I noticed:
1) One of the writers is Joel 'MST:3K' Hodgson. Bow down before him!
2) The Director is Dean Cundey! I don't expect that name to mean a lot to most of you, but this guy is once of cinema's greatest Cinematographer's. If you want to see a good example of his work check out some of his partnerships with director John Carpenter. The Fog and Halloween especially – see how the whole of the widescreen frame is used and lit to perfection. The guy is a genius. Sadly "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves" seems to be the only film he directed.
