I don't know if you guys have been keeping up with the latest video game conventions, but Square Enix has been leaking out demos of Kingdom Hearts 2, out September 2005.

The confirmed worlds are:

Fabled Country Side - Beauty and the Beast
Beast was one of your teammates at the end of the first installment, and Belle was one of the seven princesses of heart, but this time, we get to go to their world, which is fully playable this time around.

Ancient Greece - Hercules
Greece was not really an explorable world last time. It was just one huge colloseum used for battling purposes and nothing more. It's fully playable this time around.

Agrabah - Aladdin
Agrabah is returning in full form, apparantly due to its extreme popularity with Final Fantasy fanboys. Agrabah is expected to be even more expansive this time around.

Ancient China - Mulan
No one knows how Mulan will figure into the plot, but video clips with Mulan as a playable character confirm its existense in the game. Its thought that this segment will closely resemble the movie's plot with minor deviations for the sake of the Kingdom Hearts world.

The almost-confirmed, highly rumored worlds are: (no video/screencap confirmation available to date)

Nottinghamshire - Robin Hood
Pride Rock - The Lion King
Camelot - The Sword in the Stone
Prydain - The Black Cauldron

Rumored/Long-shot possibilities:

Victorian London - The Great Mouse Detective
Indian Jungle - The Jungle Book

Non-Disney Worlds:

An original world called Deep Dive is said to be an integral part of the game. The name comes from a secret video available on the first Kingdom Hearts Japanese version.

At least one Final Fantasy World is expected to make an appearance. Worlds/characters from the DragonQuest series are also being considered.

Characters without worlds:

Pete, Goofy's archenemy, is said to be one of the major storyline villains in Kingdom Hearts 2.

Jack Skellington, due to overwhelming popularity, will make an appearance, even though his world looks to be dropped from the second game.

Worlds that are rumored, but seem to be abandoned:

Atlantica - The Little Mermaid
Ariel seemed to be in distress in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, but since in the series she is not one of the princesses of heart, the creators obviously don't feel the need to bring her world back for a visit. Its rumored that fanboys were not overly enthusiasitc the first time around.

Colonial America - Pocahontas
This was actually the first world to be rumored almost a year ago, along with Mulan. Too many female leads for this boy-targeted game? Whatever happened, Pocahontas seemed to be scrapped from the project, probably to leave some major plot points for a third installment.

I loved the first part of KH and I'm glad I finally heard some news. I think both, Pride Rock and the Mulan World will make a great addition to KH2.

I loved Kingdom Hearts One, and if The Black Cauldron is in this game, maybe it will get some recognition!

how much is Jack Skellington in the new games?

I have the first one, just i got abit stuck quite early on in the game and just stopped playing....
And i thought Lilo and Stitch was meant too be in this one?
Oh and for those of you sad about Jack Skellington not being in it, The Nightmare Before Christmas game is coming out real soon....

This recent Famitsu scan shows Sora and company in Halloween Town (with Jack in his Santa costume, too).

Kingdom Hearts : Chain of Memories is a good game to play to fill in the gap between the first and this one. But I'm not getting it.
But I really want to play this. =D

It's supposed to be a "link" to fill in the one year game between Kingdom Hearts, and Kindom Hearts 2. In reality, it's just a way for the big wigs to milk the franchise. You go to the exact same levels as the first one, and the storyline is streamlined: The villains are not convened in an evil council to capture the princesses of heart.

It all takes place in Castle Oblivion. Sora must defeat each floor, which are really just the previous worlds he visited. The castle is run by the Organization, people who want to test Sora for something. They use his memories to reconstruct his past adventures so they can scope out weaknesses. Basically, the game is just an easy way of introducing the major plot points of the second game to come.

I read in an obscure online article that Jack is trying to bring Christmas to all the worlds, but little time is actual spent in Halloweentown. I'm not sure. The possibilities are still open. The game still have several months of development before it's Summer 2005 release date in Japan.[/quote]

Maybe you go to Christmas Town instead of Halloween Town...or maybe both.

Yeah, what's cool about CoM is that you get to play as another character besides Sora.

I'm actually going to buy KH2 because it looks super cool!

I actually hated COM. It was boring and too repetitive to me (no offense to anyone) I can't wait for Kingdom Hearts II to come out though. It looks really amazing. I hope that it comes out before December of 2005. (My Funcoland says it will come out December 2, 2005. I hope it comes out sooner)

Also, in the first installment wouldn't it make sence if Ariel was one of the seven princesses instead of Alice?

Alice isn't really a princess, they had all the main ones and then Alice.... Weird.

I hope the camelot isn't in the game.

And does anyone know if you'll be able to summon Bambi, Simba, Mushu, Dumbo, Tink, etc. again in this one?

I sure hope so cause that was so fun to do

Those are the old trailer scenes from a while ago, right? I wish that they would release some new images sometime soon. They probably won't though, at least not untill E3 in May The game might not come out in September though, so do not get your hopes up for it to be released then. As of now, there is no release date. Not untill Square (if they ever decide to do anything) mentions one.

Yeah I really want some new screenshots, videos, and info!! But they haven't given us any. My best source for info on games, movies, etc. is www.ign.com it's a great site but they haven't received any info from square-enix yet either...
