BURBANK, Calif., December 6, 2004 – Walt Disney Home Entertainment presents two more winning
titles in the powerful preschool product line DISNEY LEARNING ADVENTURES: MICKEY’S
AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS and MICKEY AND THE BEANSTALK. This series of
innovative DVD and VHS titles, developed by Disney and leading educators for children ages 2-5,
combines early learning fundamentals with delightful Disney stories and favorite characters.

Each title brings a fresh approach to learning by providing a unique environment that encourages children
to participate directly with the program. A friendly and wise host guides preschoolers through an exciting
story packed with learn-along activities that expand the story theme and engage children’s attention.

Each title is available for $14.99 (S.R.P.) on VHS and $19.99 (S.R.P.) on Disney DVD.

MICKEY’S AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS: Jules Verne’s classic story is told with Disney
charm as Mickey tries to travel around the whole world in just 80 days. Along the way, we discover more
about the places Mickey travels through on his trip. Hear children around the world say hello and
goodbye in several languages, and learn about animals and houses around the world on this multicultural
adventure that introduces your child to the wider world beyond home. Includes the bonus film “Mickey’s
Mechanical House.”

MICKEY AND THE BEANSTALK: The classic story of Jack and the Beanstalk is told with a Disney
twist, as Happy Valley’s magical Singing Harp falls into the clutches of Willie the Giant. It’s Mickey,
Donald and Goofy to the rescue, and along the way we take some breaks to learn about counting, making
a fair share, analyzing spatial patterns, measuring and ordering events. These school readiness skills help
prepare children for everyday problem solving.

On DVD each of these DISNEY LEARNING ADVENTURES titles include:

• Two learn-along viewing options
o Guided Learning Mode
o Apprentice Play Mode – allows children to use their DVD remote to
participate with the program

• Enhanced Learning Activity Booklet
o Gives parents and children the opportunity to explore together
o Invites children to be creative
o Reinforces and extends mathematical thinking and problem solving
o Explores how things look, using imagination

• Multi-Level Set Top Game
o Incorporates all of the educational lessons offered
o Read-Along Storybook

Each title in the DISNEY LEARNING ADVENTURE SERIES promotes early reading and math skills.
The titles include age-appropriate activities that address important goals at the preschool stage of a child’s
development. Exploring how things look and how being imaginative creates a foundation for literacy and
mathematical thinking.

Is this just the House of Mouse Cartoon on DVD? I just wish they release all the HOM on DVD. I remember for their "Mousetales" series they also made A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The Around the World DVD contains two shorts, and both originated on "Mickey Mouse Works" and later turned up on House of Mouse (one is on the Mickey's House of Villains DVD).
