Ugh, what a pointless handheld system. Sorry, Kelly, I'm waiting for PlayStation Portable(PSP) to come in March. Now THAT system will own supreme. :D

Sorry. Altough I've been always a Nintendo follower (right now the only system I've got is a GC) I don't like the DS:

First, I don't like handhelds.

Second, with the exception of a few good games (Zelda and Mario to name a few of the few) , I really disliked the N64; it was the only Nintendo system that I didn't like as a whole.

Third, I did not like at all those graphics.

And fourth and final, with Super Mario 64 DS it seems to me that Nintendo is going back with the cheap idea of the ports or "ports" of previous games, like they did with the GBA.

Hell no! Give me classic NES or Game Boy any day. Those controllers didn't have 45 buttons and require a degree in college or being a kid with enough time and patience to learn them all to operate.

I plan to get this as soon as it builds up a library of must-have games. So far, Super Mario 64 DS is the only game I would buy. I figure that I'll buy the system when the price goes down, and I can get some of the games used.

By the way, anybody who is interested in video games should at least try the demos available in most electronic stores. The Metroid Prime Hunters demo was very fun to play, and I think the touchscreen has a lot of possibilities that are just waiting for creative designers to exploit.

Maybe.

The only thing that would even remotely garner interest in purchasing a DS would be Final Fantasy III (the TRUE Final Fantasy III, not Final Fantasy 3e/6j on the SNES). And one game is not going to be enough to warrant a $150 price tag.
