Also, does anyone know here that although THIS Fantasia video looks like it may not, it actually uses the 1987 Disney Classics logo on the actual tape! Pretty ironic since the film stars Sorcerer Mickey and he is featured on the logo, eh?

1987 Walt Disney Classics, definitely. That's the Disney logo I grew up with for years. I always loved seeing and hearing it before a movie started.

Yep. Also I found something a little odd. On each classics tape (except for the ones saying "Masterpiece" on them) it says "Walt Disney Home Video" under the black diamond on the spine, as in here

But on "The Adventures of The Great Mouse Detective," the Disney text ain't there! Just the black diamond, due to the title size.

If then, could people recognize it as a Disney feature if they only see the spine, for the Black Diamond may have become a Disney trademark?

Also I heard a rumor that due to editing mistakes, Masterpiece Collection prints of Snow White and Pocahontas use the Black Diamond logo on tape!Is this true?

1987 Walt Disney Classics (Sorcerer Mickey Two/Black Diamond Two)
I also grew up with this logo as a child so I'll pick this one.

My vote went to the 1987 black Dimaond and Mickey like most of you have said thats just the logo I grew up on . I rmemeber always getting chills when the movie was about to start

That has always been my favorite and always will be.
