I've updated all the specs here, but there is a dedicated thread over in General now, which has taken on a life of its own:

I wonder, some movies if their is a sequal they do a rather large, rather pricy box set of them, like the huge lion king box set coming up, will they be doign this for Pocahontas and the Pocahontas sequal as well?

I'm sure there's a box set coming... And if they wait long enough it could be a trilogy box set with the all new "Pocahontas 3: Journey to Africa" :) In all seriousness, I think we can expect something similair to the Mulan box that contains both movies.

:shudders: if they ruin the movie any more then they did in the sequal, I am going on a hunger strike, all 95 pounds of me

LILO & STITCH: SE
Disc One:
- Audio Commentary
- English 5.1, DTS 5.1, French 5.1

So it does have an Audio Commentary, yes!!!!
Any of the retail sites I've been checking didn't have it listed, so I was getting worried.

Well, in the French 2-Disc Collector's Edition, released December 8th, I can now confrim that there ain't any "all new musical sequence" included. Nothing added. Nada. Weird...
Don't really carz but it's an obseervation... :)

Can someone describe the picture quality of Pocahontas and maybe post some comparison shots with the old release?

I expect the Lilo & Stitch SE to have the same transfer as the first release...

Greetings
Phil

Wow, I really hope that we are getting those 2 special editions as well. I don't yet have those movies on DVD and now I think I will just wait and look if we are getting special editions as well. :)

I really hope we'll get them, but I highly doubt it as long as we have those simple versions on the market here in Finland (please, dissapear from the stores that we could get those nice covered DVD:s with plenty of extras). The french cover-art is way too good, of course that's not a surprise because they always get very fine looking covers. :)

I hav Pocahontas on VHS and I found it very entertaining even if it isn't one of my favourites. It still has one of the best songs I've ever heard in my life (Colors of the rainbow) and that's actually a reason why I like the movie a lot..

What a mistake I made! "Somewhere over the rainbow" has been quite stuck in my head lately, I don't usually do mistakes like that in songs that I like. ^^;

wow! i just finished watching it!

the picture quality is so good, no more flatness.

You know how when john smith is climbing up after pocahontas, just before the song COTW, and he broke a branch, fell down, hilarity ensues- well u used to see the branch so obviously- like the bones from TLK in the elephant graveyard sequence- well now you cant!

coming through the clouds at the beginning is far more defined, i havent enjoyed visually watching this film since the release!

finally pocahontas has the respect it so deserves:)
