Christmas time is just around the corner, and I've caved and begun celebrating just a little early this year... I may love Christmas a little too much (just kidding- that's impossible!). I'd like to know all of your favorite Christmas movies and specials, so I thought it would be fun for everyone to post which ones they own on DVD (and then you can post some of your favorites that you don't own but would like to as well if you'd like). I've been trying to build up that part of my collection lately.

My Christmas DVD Collection
It's A Wonderful Life
The Santa Clause (pan & scan :( :( :()
The Santa Clause 2
Home Alone
Home Alone 2
Miracle on 34th Street (original)

"Grown-Up Christmas List" Amy Grant music video
"The Night Santa Went Crazy" on Weird Al Live dvd
Holiday episodes of Boy Meets World, Friends, and The Simpsons
Recent Amy Grant Christmas appearances on DVD (from the fan club)

I'd really like to get the SE of Beauty & The Beast: An Enchanted Christmas. I want The Muppet Christmas Carol, too, but am holding off for now in hopes of a rerelease in the near future (the same goes for all the older Muppet films). I really wish they'd put Smoky Mountain Christmas and the original Life & Adventures of Santa Claus on DVD! There are plenty more that I want but those are the ones at the top of my list and on the top of my mind.

I'll just list my favorite Christmas films... the titles in bold are the ones I have on DVD (or in Elf's case, will own as soon as it comes out! ;)).

~It's A Wonderful Life (VHS) (Although there's little to do with Christmas in this entire film... ah well!)
~Annabelle's Wish
~Frosty the Snowman
~A Charlie Brown Christmas
~Miracle on 34th Street
(the '94 remake - Richard Attenborough makes such a kewt Santa! :D)
~National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (VHS)
~The Garfield Christmas Special
~Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
~How the Grinch Stole Christmas
(the original Chuck Jones film, thankyouverymuch...)
~Elf
~The Muppet Christmas Carol
(I'd love to get this one on DVD, but the pan-and-scan puts me off... :|)

Mickey's Christmas Carol is also a nice film with that "classic" Disney feel. Call me nuts, but The Enchanted Christmas (VHS) is kinda sorta okay. Not a yearly staple, but hey. ;) When I caught Robbie the Reindeer on CBS, I thought it was pretty good - I'd much prefer the original British voices, though.

 Nonsense! It just incorporates Groundhog's Day into the beginning. It's a winter movie more than anything, I suppose, but I grew up watching it along with all the other Rankin/Bass specials, so I guess that makes it as Christmasy as anything.

However, I want to get The Nutcracker Prince, I haven't seen that movie in AGES since I was a kid.
