Hey, is the DVD of BAB in England the edited version of the film? On the back cover, it says it lasts 94 minutes but does it?

No It's actually a misprint. But no it's not the standard cut of the film which is 114 mins. It's actually the special edition version which runs at almost 135 mins. It includes 2 *new* songs and loads of deleted scenes put back into the movie. If you ask me this unedited cut is much better than the standard cut!

The Brazilian edition released a few weeks ago is the original theatrical release, and I bought it thinking it was the extended edition.

Exactly how many versions of BEDKNOBS are there?!

I've got a video copy (circa. 1987) which runs 97 minutes. It cuts out the entire "Eglantine" number and much of the "Portobello Road" sequence. It also omits the ending with Emelius going off to war.

I also own the 114 standard cut on VHS as well as the fabulous 139 minute extended cut, but the 97 minute version really baffles me.

Anyone else have a copy?

I have a copy of the DVD. That is, the extended version.

At first I didn't understand why they had sloppy voice overs and such, like near the end in the store.

For me, Portobello Road was just a wee bit too long, yet I don't think I could live without the other songs and such. I do miss "A Step in the Right Direction." I wish they could have refilmed it or something.

I was very surprised I found a copy. However, it was very cheap: $9!
