The teaser trailer for Pixar's 7th film, "Cars", can now be found online
here. It's pretty cool!

Pretty cool, and you know what surprised me the most..... Pixar actually put, "from the creatures of a Bug's Life!"

Yeah, it surprised me too. But the music that played while the bee was buzzing around was the main theme from A Bug's Life. Also, Cars is directed by John Lasseter, who directed the Toy Story films and Bug's Life.

Does it look cool? Yes. Does it look like a good movie? It's too early to tell, but Pixar is still batting 1.000, and John Lasseter has directed their best work.

That's exactly my feelings on it. The teaser was pretty funny, and I'm sure it will be a quality movie. But I haven't seen nearly enough to even get a feeling for how I will like the film.

My initial thoughts, too. The animation looks about ten steps below what we're used to seeing from them.
Then again, it is only a teaser and they probably had to work overtime to get this out in time for
The Incredibles, so I'm not putting too much into that. I will say, however, that I'm very skeptical about the storyline. I mean, part of Pixar's magic formula for success has been great storylines and engaging characters. With cars that's gonna be a real challenge, IMO.

wowwwww!!! those guys at Pixar are really geniouses, always looking for the next step in animation and screenplay; there´s no other company to compare them with, they´re the only ones (that I know) that make some new and special animation just for the teaser trailers.
I love the look of this movie, the character design (even the crwod at the racing arena are cars!), and bbbrrrrrrrrmmm (speedy sound fx)feeling of this movie. Wait to go again pixar!!!
I don´t need to judge this movie by the trailer, Pixar never desapoints me, I have a blind faith

Interesting trailer. This movie looks different from other Pixar films, but not as different as, say, The Incredibles (this seems like a buddy comedy again which will probably annoy certain members of these boards, but not me). Pixar's teaser trailers have never really done much for me, so I can't judge the film until a full trailer's released.

I hate racing movies like Fast and the Furious, and altough this one and Cars are going to be 2 completley different movies it has the same premise for what it has. Anyways this one looks promising and I liked it. I liked the teaser more than that one from Monsters Inc.

My computer is STUPID and won't lemme see it.
But from what I've heard, this movie may do OK. Not Good, not bad, just OK.
Stupid computer. *pokes it with a stick*

It doesn't have my attention or excitement in the way, say, that the Monsters, Inc., Finding Nemo, or Incredibles teasers had. It looks weaker, but I do agree that it's too early to say.

Well, Pixar's Cars didn't look too promising to me. I thought it was ok not to good or not too bad. I still might watch it when it comes out in theaters in November 2005. Maybe it's just me.

I was gonna post the same thing in The Incredibles thread after catching the preview last night. Doesn't looks as promising as the majority of their work, but than again I probably would have had the same opinion last year about a movie satire spoofing 3-d superheros so I'll give Pixar the benefit of the doubt and wait to see more before formulating any opinions. I think my expectations from early descriptions were based more along the lines, in correlation or whatever, of seeing a feature-length "Suzie The Little Blue Coupe" as opposed to a fast-paced movie about race-cars. Again, it's too early to really have any opinions of the film based on a teaser trailer which was probably rushed to theatres early to couple with The Incredibles...
