I'm trying to take a poll of what the worst DVD transfer you've ever seen is. Right now, I think the one that I was most dissapointed in was Death Becomes Her. It was in fullscreen, and was plagued with grain. Sure it's not one of my favorite movies, but it has a terrible transfer.

I was also pretty dissapointed with A Goofy Movie's transfer, and the film, but was also definately dissapointed with Pocahontas as well.

What do you think are some terrible transfers, both Disney and Non-Disney?

Aw man, Death Becomes Her is P&S? I saw it this weekend on Lifetime, and I was thinking of getting the DVD if I could find it, but now that it's P&S...

The worst transfer I've seen would probably have to be for Battlestar Galactica. The very first DVD release from like 1999 or so, and while it's understandable that there could be grain (there is some on the TV Series DVD, though I don't have it yet), it's really bad at times, especially during some space battle footage.

The DVD in my collection that I feel has the worst transfer is Franco Zeffirelli's Jesus of Nazareth. Holy crap does that film need a restoration. It's fuzzy, colors are murky, there's print flaws all over the place...The bigger the screen I'm watcing it on, the worse it looks. It bugs me that the movies in my collection from the 50's and 60's look eons better than Jesus of Nazareth which is a 70's film. I was hoping some sort of 25th anniversary edition would be released in 2002 ala Roots, but none came. Maybe a 30th anniversary edition in 2007...

I've seen regular to bad transfers; mostly just VHS ports to DVDs but I can tell you, I have a couple of those and at least one was from the first DVDs ever made and that one looks way much better that TLU; and we're not talking about audio here...

You can say, "well it's and old movie". But yeah, they could had at least used a decent transfer and worst of all... that is not an excuse! since there's an already awesome edition R2.

Of all the DVDs I watched, I think the transfer of Stuart Little the Delux Edition is bad. The film looks grainy and noisy. The aspect ratio of the film is at 4:3 or "Full Screen." Stuart Little II looks better than the original movie!

It was okay, yet it seemed really disapointing considering it had a sticker on the box saying it had a newly digitally remastered picture when it was fairly mucky in many a place with print flaws. Oh well, at least it came in its OAR...

Not counting the budget cartoon DVDs I own, which naturally have bad prints, I bought The Rose on DVD earlier this year, and it needs a restoration, which I hear it actually recieved AFTER the DVD release. The transfer isn't totally horrific, but the picture definitely could have used a restoration. The sound, however, was fantastic.
