Hurray! Gnome Mobile is widescreen!

I just thought i'd let everyone know that last weeks U.K. release of The Gnome Mobile is widescreen 1:77:1! I knew i should hold out rather than go for the U.S release!

Do you have the capabilities of taking screencaps? If so, it might be interesting to compare with the caps from my Region 1 review:

I suspect, as I mostly concluded in the review, that the Region 1 DVD is a mix of pan-and-scan and open-matte.

No, Luke, ichabod and everybody else, this UK release is NOT Widescreen.
I have just watched it and it´s full-frame, exactly as the US release.
The cover states 1:77 but that is a misspelling for 1:33, I presume!

OK, The Gnome Mobile saga deepens. After contacting BVHE UK they are insistent that the Gnome Mobile DVD is widescreen 1:77:1. After then replying saying that I was disappointed that they had released the movie in pan and scan I got a reply saying "Our current release of "The Gnome Mobile" on DVD is not pan and scan and we can assure you it is presented in its original 1:77:1 ratio.
Weird because the DVD is definitely pan and scan!

Well a turn up for the books. Apparantly the German DVD of TGM is widescreen 1:85:1! Can anyone confirm this?
