Were you always a fan of Aladdin before the DVD?

Is it just that the movie is already out or you were always a fan of it?

For me?

ALWAYS HAVE BEEN!!!

I've always liked the movie. As I told you in another topic i have the widescreen LD which i dearly love specially its awesome cover. Robin Williams' crazy stream of conciousness delivery being animated and the parrot is a rriot :P and great fabulous deep colors. Also Jafar is very wicked  Mmm I wonder if Jasmine's skin tone will be the same as I saw in the theater (i've seen it "tweaked" a little in some incarnations :P)

speaking of topics, shouldn't this be in general discussions instead off topic?

Interesting... Jungle Prince has 55 posts... and 55's in his name...

Anyway we got this when I was 3. I don't remember it, but my parents said I'd watch it everyday. When I was 7, I found the tape and enjoyed a lot. :)

Goodness you kids are young. 8)

Myself, I was in fourth grade when the movie came out. Natually, I got the soundtrack (cassette tape) a few weeks before seeing the movie in theaters. While I loved it, it didn't quite reach the standards of Beauty and the Beast, which had come out the year before in third grade. I remember getting the Aladdin and Jasmine dolls put out by Mattel for Christmas that year. I believe I thought them to be quite scandalous as both Aladdin and Jasmine were dressed in a fashion that showed their belly buttons!

I always liked it as a kid, but I was way more into The Lion King. I didn't realize how great it really was until re-watching it on DVD. When you don't watch a movie for an extended period of time, you forget what made you a fan in the first place.

Well, since this post is not talking directly about the movie, just asking something regarding it, I decided to put the post here. Besides the general discussions its already filled with Aladdin topics. :)

I also was wondering about this since I never got to experience the boom of Aladdin. I saw it when it was already on video and by then it was already too late for me to find related stuff and the whole experience. Besides, Aladdin was kind of forgotten in a way. Take in consideration that prior to it, it was Beauty and the Beast (the first animated movie to be nominated for an Oscar) and after came The Lion King (the "best" Disney movie). So most people remembered the fond memories of BatB and then were amazed by the impact of LK.

I have always been a fan of Aladdin, and I have rewatched it many times on VHS. My one regret is that I never got to see the opening sequence in the cinema. We arrived late, and the song "One Jump Ahead" was playing when we entered the theater. Anyway, I look forward to the DVD of Aladdin tomorrow.

My love for Aladdin began when it first came out, My Nanna (Grand Ma Ma) took me to see it and I loved it. Then when the Video came out my Mom bought it for me. And I saw it and instantly fell in love with it. Then she bought me the 3 sequels that came later. I am so glad this is finally coming out on DVD i am going to get the Gift set like I did when Lion King Came Out.

This is the very first movie I remember seeing in a theater(when I was four). It has been my favorite ever since. I never told anyone that I absolutely loved the movie, but somehow, everyone seemed to know. I remember getting an Aladdin lunchbox with Aladdin figurines inside and I was very pleased. Then, I got a Jasmine necklace and was very upset when it got lost(I don't know how...I remember seeing it in this plant we had, but when I looked later, it wasn't there). I also had this Aladdin movie poster in my room, and I watched Aladdin so much that it broke. I guess my love for Aladdin was just easy to see because I loved it so much even though I never told anyone.

So, in conclusion, I've always been a fan of it. Thank-you for reading my post. Now, stop. Stop reading. Seriously. This is it. I have nothing more to say. Why are you still reading? I'm done! I really am! I mean it! Oh, come on! Stop reading already! Fine, I'll just stop saying anything...hey, you're still reading! Why? :?

I've loved Aladdin since I was very small. I still have a photo of me with my mom standing next to the VHS promotion board of the film in 1994.
