Treasure of the Lost Lamp is one of my all-time favourites. I hope we don't get a barebones single disc, but a decent release. Likely to be a single disc, but with perhaps a making of featurette or some basic features. :) This is a fun and adventurous animated film.

Disney removed the DVD from their retail listing. I did hear one rumor that said it'd be coming in January 2005, but that's just a rumor at this point.

I really hope these come out soon. I also hope that Disney considers releasing the television show in boxed sets. That would be the ultimate bliss.

Duck Tails: Treasure of the lost Lamp should be on DVD soon.
It should be a Special Edition 2 disc DVD.
I really like this movie and I haven't seen it in a long time.
Maybe tonight I watch it on my VCR.
Yay!!! :D

Darkwing Duck is a different story, but like you said it should have it's own box set seasons.
It would be great that Disney takes out all their Diseny afternoon on DVD A.S.A.P. :D

Speaking of Disney TV cartoon shows...

Toon Disney just became free where I am. Before, it was only available as part of the digital cable package (which we have on 2 of our TVs), but now it's part of basic-expanded cable, and no longer a subscription channel. Is that the case everywhere?

I get it in my room now! :D (Just watched Darkwing Duck today).

Have you tried auto-programming your TV again? It was added to basic-expanded cable just days ago, so maybe you have it too. I don't know if this is everywhere, or just here, or even only temporary (hope not!). Let me know if you find anything out! :)

Ok, cool... just let us know how it goes. I'm really curious as to whether this is a nationwide thing or not. I remember when Disney Channel moved from subscription to regular cable... oh happy day! :D

By the way, now that I look for it, the only movie version I find is Treasure of the Lost Lamp and I don't think that's the one I mean.

If I remember correctly the name was just : Ducktales: The Movie. And it was about all the characters looking for a temple (in Peru?) that's filled with gold.

I only saw it as a child but as I said above I thought it was a GREAT movie.

If you really can't wait for a U.S. release, you could always order a region 2 copy!

DuckTales the movie is called Treasure of the lost lamp, I think its just one of those Disney movies that ends up with two titles, like The Spaceman and King Arthur. They go to Egypt to look for treasure and find a magic lamp in amongst it all...
I hope they release the cartoons as well!
For some strange reason it keeps being referred to as Tail of the Lost Lamp and I have no idea why.
