I've been a very bad girl!

Last week I made the mistake of logging onto the Disneystore website and now I am the proud owner of 5 more Disney snowglobes and a 20.5" Donald Duck. Damn that site! I've got pretty much all my Disney dvd's so my next obsession is snowglobes and the Disneystore website had a huge snowglobe sale that I just couldn't resist. They were priced between $38-$76 so how could I not buy them?

Am I the only sad Disney freak out there who has progressed from dvds to a more expensive obsession? And where the hell am I going to put all these snowglobes when they arrive????

No, you are definitely not alone. I have recently progressed to disney beanies. I am running out of places to put them. I am currently watching 4 on ebay even though i know when i get them they are just going to go straight into a box in the wardrobe and will probably not see the light of day for a while!
I need help!

I collect the plush toys, which can be either more or less expensive than the DVDs, depending on the size I pick as ideal. Currently, I've got Pumbaa, Tigger, two Eeyores (a regular and a talking version), Mushu, Maggie, Mrs. Caloway, Grace, Bambi, Sorcerer's Hat Mickey, and Donald Duck. I usually go for the medium size because they won't drain my funds too quickly, and they are just the right size and cuteness.

Has anybody seen a good Daisy Duck plush (just the regular version with a pink bow)?

trust me you are not alone in this. I also collect the snowglobes, and haven't visited the Disney site because I knew I would do just what you did. I also collect the Disney beanie plush characters, pictures Lp's, DVD's, lithos, anything else Disney I can.

It is hard when you truely like something to control the urges of purchasing everything. I think Disney may have gone a little too far with the mickey mouse shaped computer though:)

I hear ya Celtic. Preachin' to the choir here. I too collect the Disney snow globes but I only collect the really small ones that are like ten bucks in the Disney Store. I collect the Disney plush as well. I'm starting to run out of room in my closet, on my dresser and on my desk. I wonder if there's a disney merchandise-aholics annonymous. :)

JJJ, I think my mother will have plenty to say on the matter when they arrive at her house and she has to store them for me! :o I should probably tell her about the 20.5" Donald Duck figurine that my hubby has ordered too I guess. Mmmmm....might leave that for a while!

The annoying thing is that the US Disney store has the best stowglobes (the UK ones all look plastic and cheap) so I have to get them shipped to the Emerald Isle AND pay customs duty on them. But they're worth it!!!

Mother - oops. How old are you? Sometimes I need to remember how old the average Ultimate Disney poster is before I start makin' jokes. Man, I never had that kind of money as a kid. Then I had money for a while. Now I have kids and have no money again. Its all circular.

 Didn't your mother ever tell you that it's rude to ask a girl her age JJJ. My birth cert says I'm 30  but I'm a kid at heart! Myself and my husbands house is currently being built so I've to send any deliveries to my mother to store until it's finished. If my Mum's house goes up in flames it'll burn for weeks with the amount of Disney stuff she's got stored for me! :o

Hm, collecting Disney snow globes... Oh no, why did you bring that up? I was just coming to terms with my embarrassing Disney ViewMaster addiction! But then again, I've always loved snow globes...

By the way, do you know of a place besides ebay (since disneystore.com don't carry them, where I can find all the plush toys (and othe stuff) of Aladdin?

Hehehehehe, that is so true! I have the early ones that were released in the late 90s and early 2000s. They are currently sitting in a plastic bin next to my bin under Lime Green Mickey Plush, a Snubbies dog with an enormous head, a large bear, the Macy's Mickey that sings, the old Macy's Bullwinkle...anyhow, from what I remember, I have:
~ Mary Poppins set - Chimney Sweep Bert, Mary Poppins, Penguin Waiter, the orange fox
~ Alice in Wonderland set (incomplete) - Black card, White Rabbit, March Hare, Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. I'm missing Alice, Dodo Bird, Dormouse, Red Card and Queen of Hearts (I think the Dormouse or Queen was also available with sound)
~ Mickey's Christmas Carol set - Bob Crachit (Mickey), Ebeenzer Scrooge (Scrooge McDuck), Jacob Marley (Goofy)
~ Huey, Dewey, and Louie
~ Fab Five: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto
~ Tourist Mickey and Hula Minnie
~ Pilot Mickey and Statue of Liberty Minnie
~ B&W Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar
~ Flounder
~ Uncle Sam Goofy
~ 4th of July Pluto
~ Geppeto and Jiminy Cricket
~ Chip and Dale
~ Mrs. Potts and Chip
~ Toga Mickey
~ Referee Mickey
~ Sorcerer Mickey (DS)
~ Sorcerer Mickey (WDW)
~ Disney Quest Mickey and DQ Navigator Mickey
~ Safari Mickey (AK)
(I hope I didn't miss any)

Anyhow, back on topic...yes Celtic you are not alone. We all have manias like Mr. Toad and they do get out of hand. Don't feel ashamed! If you think you have too many, I'll take some!

I better leave b4 I get sucked into the addicting vortex known as the UD Message Boards!

Regarding the snowglobes, I would not have that problem since I would just buy the Aladdin ones and the Disney Villains one's, but... I have no money for that so...
