Oh Yeah! I used to LOVE that movie as a kid, and still have it. This is going to ROCK. I wonder what specials they'll have on it, theres bound to be plenty if it's a two disc... Hrm...

The current "Special Edition" - that is the second DVD release - was one among the first DVDs I got before I started buying like crazy. Needless to say, I'll be unloading it - Pan & Scan has got to go.
The commentary was rather underwhelming, maybe MJ will be particpating in some of the extras this time around. 16x9 widescreen alone is worth the upgrade to me. Hopefully, everything from the release I'm getting rid of - will be included.
Great to see Warner revisiting some of the titles they botched up years ago with full-screen transfers - the Vacation movies, this, and more to come (including A Christmas Story).

Just a trailer.
The UK has a trailer only release - but at least it's always ben 16:9 enhanced widescreen.
I suspect some of the extra's on the 2 disc set will be Looney Tunes cartoons.

Maybe it'll be released when Looney Tunes: Back in Action is in theaters.

Special Edition...
Warner should burn all film reels, videos, dvds, posters, ads, merchandise and any other remaining traces of this movies existence.

I
HATE the Looney Tunes, especially Bugs. I don't think there are words to decribe my dislike of these toons...
Otherwise, I would probably like this movie.
Now if disney did something like this... with Mickey and the gang... Ahhhhhh, the possiblities...

I love the movie and don't have it on DVD yet so normally this would be a no-brainer for me but with so many other anticipated releases around that time I'm not sure that I'll be able to afford it.

Even in Widescreen you won't get to see Cool Cat or Col. Rimfire.
Because they aren't in it!
Deduct 10 points.
The film get bonus points though for the Sniffles apperance! Yay!

I love Sniffles. "Bedtime For Sniffles" (1940) is one of my, if not my favourite short cartoons ever made.

Yeah, but I hate the thought of all the Disney characters living together in some parallel universe only accessable through a golf hole.
On the other hand, the basketball teams could be:
All Stars
Michael Jordon
Mickey (he'd be captain, of course-and he'd be better than Michael)
Minnie
Donald
Daisy
Goofy
Pluto
Chip
Dale
some cool villain-related name
Pete (he'd be the captain, and would have a major role as the lead "heavy", villain, and antogonish)
Cpt. Hook
Cruella
Medusa
Gaston
Kaa
Jafar
Hades
Yzma
But I wouldn't want any of the really, really evil villains on the team-just the ones that could add the comedy: Cruella's really evil, but she's also really funny.

If Disney did do it, I think the villains team would have to be from a more 'cartoony' background rather than animated films.
If people think some of the sequels are inappropriate, what would they make of Cruella playing Basketball?
My line up would be
Pete (of course) - Captain (like he is in some of the Disney Sports game titles)
Mortimer Mouse
Big Bad Wolf
The Beagle Boys? Perhaps only one of them - or they could act as a tag team, always changing the player.
A Weasel - just a general purpose, downright sleezy weasel, but suggesting Mr Toad or even Roger Rabbit of course
Beppo the Gorilla from the early Disney shorts.
The Phantom Blott? Obscure Comic book only villain, until Disney revived him for a few Mouseworks/House of Mouse shorts
Witch Hazel - I know, she's not really a villain but... I'm running out of ideas!
Sorry - it's Beppo the Gorilla, not Ajax. Updated my list to reflect this.

The inclusion of Sniffles cannot make up for the downright exclusion of Cool Cat.
Oh well, at least they had the sense not to include Merlin the Magic Mouse and his assistant Second Banana.
No on second thoughts, I would have liked to have seen them, if only in the background, too.

They were still Looney Tunes.
