Since Disney bought the muppets what muppet DVD's would you like??

wel there are many Muppets DVDs out there but most of them were released by Columbia/Tristar i believe. the only Muppets DVDs that Disney have released are Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island.

I wish they would release the rest of the muppet show on dvd. Bought about half the ones they realeased already.

I have all the Muppet movies on DVD, but I'd clearly like the two that Disney botched to be reissued in widescreen, Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island. A Special Edition of The Muppet Movie would be nice, as would be a full unedited version of Muppet Family Christmas. Oh, and Muppet Babies, for sure.

Disney had the extras and menus down perfectly for their releases. They just forgot that the people who buy catalogue DVDs in great numbers prefer widescreen.

I would luuuuuuuuuuuurve special editions of The two Disney Muppet films! And i would also love to see all of the muppet show too!

My wife loves the Muppets and we would really like to see a special boxed set of all the Muppet movies, including Muppet family Christmas (is that the one with John Denver in it?).

John Denver is in two made for TV movies with the Muppets, A Christmas Together, never released on DVD (or VHS, for that matter!), and A Rocky Mountain Holiday, not a Christmas special and released on DVD only (without the scene in which John Denver flies in an airplane with Rowlf).

I love the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... "Christmas Together" CD</a>. It gets play just about every year. I don't believe I've seen the special, but the CD definitely has a quality where one would assume there are eventful visuals going on.

Doesn't sound like I'll see it anytime soon, though.

I would love to see a widescreen version of Muppet Treasure Island. I bought the pan-and-scan version for the bonus features, but I would buy it again for a widescreen movie.

I wish they would make another Muppet movie someday. Surely they haven't run out of ideas or capable performers?

I believe a Muppets of Oz Movie is in the works

Indeed, and the "It's A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" that I mentioned came out just last year (or was it 2 years ago?). It was on TV, though, not a theatrical release- still very good.

It first aired two years ago and was released on DVD last year.

Though personally I still love Muppet Family Christmas. I'd like to see an unedited version of that {they had some copyright issues with a few songs}.

I have a few: some vols of Best of The Muppet Show; Kermit's Swamp Years; Muppet Treasure Island (SE); Muppets Family Christmas; Muppets From Space; Muppets Take Manhattan and that's all for now

Did anyone else think the Muppets ran out of ideas and creative talent after The Muppet Treasure Island? "It's a Very Muppet Christmas Movie" and "Muppets from Space" had absolutely horrible human actors, with the exception of the cameos (with another exception of David Arquette. PLEASE stop hiring him!) "Space" had some pretty good laughs in it though until the end, the space ship scene took it right into the dump. I've noticed also that they're just using cameos for the sake of using cameos, hoping people will laugh and/or think the movie is automatically better just because those people appeared, such as the scene in "Space" where the Dawson's Creek kids appear. They say absolutely nothing, but it's implied that the fact that they're onscreen is enough. Back when Jim Henson was in charge, the cameos actually had funny lines/scenes and weren't counting solely on their star status to make the scene, e.g. Steve Martin, Joan Rivers, etc. Anyway, very off topic, but also kinda on topic but my point being if they decide to make another movie, I hope to God they don't just follow the same formula of the last two movies, or they'll completely lose their following for good, including me.

It would be very hard to get clearence on full season sets. The shows had lots of musical numbers, which would all have to be cleared and presumably the guest stars would have to be cleared too (being as their contract would be unlikely to include home video rights). I'm guessing the names were so big, the standard SAG contract didn't apply.

I'm going to have to disagree with you on Muppets From Space, Sir Hawkins. I thought the landing scene was very well done. It was a very moving scene in which Gonzo almost leaves the Muppet gang. As far as the cameos go, it really would not have fit the tone as well for the guest stars to start saying one-liners. This movie was all about the Muppets and their family, and the guests should not steal the spotlight from them.
