Where have you pre-ordered your WDT Wave 4 from? Who has the best deal on them at the moment? I'm looking for internet sites please.

Thanks

Apparently we don't have enough posts. I'm pretty sure we now need 50 posts for it to show now.

Amazon.com is who I pre-ordered the WDT Wave 4 from - only amazon upset me by not shipping the early orders first. When the release date arrived and amazon had not even started processing my order (and people I knew had ordered just a week or so before already had their sets from amazon), I canceled my order and bought them for about the same price at WalMart. Yes, still whining about it - I do realize that the Disney Company delaying the sets from Dec 2003 to May 2004 probably contributed to the confusion.

I feel amazon.com is probably the best deal on the WDT Wave 4 sets right now. Amazon doesn't have the Tomorrowland set in stock but their marketplace "partners" is probably a good place to start for it.

mmm i didn't need 50 posts for my avatar to show when i was a newbie..
I had it from the beggining.

this is what i did when i was new. i chose a jpeg from my HD that was within the right size (140 x 140 pixels and 35KB) and selected Browse on the profile thing and uploaded it so it went into Luke's gigantic bottomless server web space

Don't know if bandwith issues have changed the situation today...
but

jebsdad has more than 50 and he shows up w/o avatar (tho that may be his choice)

anyway you guys are 10 to 20 posts away from 50 if that's what's hapening

hope this helps you recover your "faces"

:P

I think it's been changed recently like the custom titles etc. I had an avatar up till the weekend too! Click profile and you'll see mine is still there, but not in the forum posts.

As for the topic, I'm getting mine from DVDSoon...

I used to be Hades.

It's not even in my profile now.

Hades is in your profile. No one's avatars have been lost, but to copy and paste my post from feedback:

"Everything Renata says is correct. Avatars remain in tact, but they won't show next to every one of your posts until you have posted 50 times or more. This serves two purposes: 1) to encourage people to post regularly, and 2) to save a tiny bit of bandwidth from avatars of infrequent posters/newbies.

Obviously, posting inanely for the sake of getting up to 50 is not a good idea, and there will be repercussions for anyone who attempts something like that. Otherwise, with regular posting, you'll get your avatar next to posts in a pretty short time. And you'll have earned it! ;) "

With regards to ordering Wave 4 of the Treasures, I say...support UD!

Use these links and buy from Amazon (30% off + free shipping):
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

But that's just a friendly suggestion. Please! :)

Well...I'm a "basic" kind of guy - I have never been interested in using the avatar option...

I gambled and won on release 3. I went to Sam's Club on the release day and got a better price than any of the internet houses. I'll do the same with Wave 4.

I don't know if I'd consider this gambling. I've yet to hear on the news of people busting down the doors at local retailers for Walt Disney Treasures DVDs the day they are released. I think your Wal-Marts, Sam's Clubs, Costco, etcs will have these in ample supply the day they are released. If you pick them up in the first few days, you'll be ok. I know my local Costco still had all four Wave 3 treasures for at least a month after they were released.

well, I think amazon is your best bet for online. You know they're a name that people trust and know, and you get it within a couple of days, depending.

I'd really go with amazon, and really, if you're all about saving a buck or two, just wait until they're released and then go to Sam's Club or Costco and purchase the treasures there.

DVDSOON.com

Canadian site, great prices, great service; I use them all the time.

And they ship in plenty of time for you to receive by street date (if not before.... )

i use amazon and their stl discount program. wave 3 set was $83.12, wave 4 is $62.34. it's free shipping and no taxes (for most people) too.

oh also, if you use their a9 search engine thigny and then place your order it'll add an additional ~1.5% discount off the price too.
