The song was okay, but the music video was pretty dull.

They should've had Clay dress up as Aladdin.

My feelings exactly. The video clip is pretty blah, but I really enjoy the song and I think Clay Aiken did a nice job on it (considering I had never seen or listened to him before). I only think it should be longer, specially with all the advertising over the song.

Funny thing is, his version is exactly how long the song would've been if it had been in the movie.

thanks for the hook-up Dirk

so like I'm confused a bit...is Clay's version of Proud of Your Boy a separate thing? Is there another version of Proud of Your Boy being put into the film?

If the song is in the film: the sound of the lyrics have convinced me for some reason that this may place the One Jump Reprise. Like how Morning Report replaced the entire pouncing scene in Lion King. I dunno, just an assumption.

They haven't placed it back into the film the way it kind of sort of sounded like they might. You can watch the new Clay aiken version and you can also watch the storyboard version where it is some other guy (Howard Ashman possibly?) just singing along with a piano.

I used to not like this song very much, but I've listened to it a few more times, and I actually kind of do like it now...

So, I like the song, I like Aladdin, and I like Clay Aiken...why don't I like that music video? :?

what do you expect from such a mediocre artist? he still looks like a nerd to me. once a nerd always a nerd. hehehe That was bloody evil! :D anyways Disney music videos are cheap anyways!

There's nothing particularly wrong with it but there's nothing particularly creative about it either. It's Clay Aiken standing there singing the song . . . end of story.

Yes, it was very well thought out and articulated.

You know, I think the background music needed to be a bit more powerful towards the end, as with Clay Aiken's voice. It was just...boring. I was actually watching the clips from Aladdin in the back rather than the whole music video.

Man, I love that movie!
