Edit: they have. Remember, these are old press releases :!:

June 24, 1999
"Chevorlet and the All-New Tracker Team Up With McDonald's® to Promote Disney's New Tarzan Release"
http://media.gm.com/chevy/99news/c990624a.htm

"Eastman Kodak Company and The Walt Disney Company announced a joint promotion of Disney's epic motion picture, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, through Kodak's NASCAR marketing program. A Pirates of the Caribbean 'wrap' will adorn the Kodak No. 4 car during the Pepsi 400 at Daytona International Speedway on July 5. The movie theme also will appear on the suit worn by driver Stacey Compton."

Either Johnny Sauter or Mike Skinner drives car #4.

Official Kodac Press Release:

Last year, Dodge has promoted Monsters Inc. in their Caravan comercials. I'll do some searching.

Elliott's No. 9 Dodge Intrepid will feature Adult Simba on one or two rear corner panels while Mayfield's No. 19 Dodge Intrepid will feature Timon and Pumbaa.

Update:
You can see the No. 9 and 19 cars on October 5 during the Banquet 400 race.

Or, you can watch the race from the stands at the Kansas Speedway, Kansas City, Kansas, USA.

Terry Labonte, the driver of car #5, promoted Finding Nemo at The Dover Int'l Speedway on June 1. The Finding Nemo cars will be out sometime in August.

The Lion King die-cast cars might be produced for a limited time. I don't know if the production limits are official. :?

Edit: I'm almost sure that these production numbers may be final! Get the expensive die-cast cars while they last!

I forgot the price again. 1/64 scale cars go for $12 - $20 USD. 1/24 scale cars go from about $45 - $65 USD. Shop wisely. :)

I couldn't copy my articles from the backup forum because I can't access it.

Disney and Dodge are planning to give away a Dodge Caravan. You can enter the sweepstakes at your local Disney Store or DisneyStore.com. I haven't seen anything on DisneyStore.com relating to the sweepstakes though. :(

Watch for Dodge Caravan advertisments feature The Lion King in late September, and probably on NBC during the NASCAR race.

Nascar.com is showcasing the Lion King die-cast cars
http://store.nascar.com/category/index. ... Id=1266863

Check out the drivers' sites for large pictures of the cars.

Bill Elliot Die-Cast Cars

Jeremy Mayfield Die-cast Cars
Nacar.com has a page for Mayfield's 1:24 model, but not his 1:64 model.

The Lion King Platinum Edition DVD and NASCAR racing? That's an odd combination. :)

I believe advertisments for Dodge cars will be appearing in an issue of Disney Adventures Magazine Lion King Collectors Issue.

The cover of the the Disney Adventure Magazine Special Edition is supposed to feature articles about the Lion King. Simba, Nala, Rafiki, Pumbaa, and Timon are on the front cover. The back has an ad for a Dodge car. Is this issue out in stores now? Does anyone know if I should be looking for the September or October issue? Thanks.

Bill Elliott was in the top 10 for 220 laps Sunday. He led 115 laps, more than anyone else. Elliott finished 2nd while Jeremy Mayfield finished 3rd.

Here's ahoto of Bill Elliott's number 9 Lion King Dodge intrepi on the race track:
