Sam's Club for basically the reason that we dont' have a membership to costco. Though, it really doesn't matter to me. Sometimes costco has an item that i'll really want and vice versa, so it's a toss up.

Never been to Sam's Club, but Costco rocks. Their prices are usually cheaper than everywhere else, including DVDs. Plus their return policy is simply splendid - you can get a refund on anything, whenever you want, without a reciept. Heck, I returned my old DVD player from 2001 just recently!

I didn't vote...

As a tween and teen, my parents had a BJ's membership, and I always liked going with them, and I remember them having good prices on CDs and VHS tapes (!!!) (I didn't buy the food and paper products, etc., back then, so Idk about those prices, but I assume that they were good!).

Last week, Bobby got us a Costco membership (without talking with me about it first :x). He bought some dog food that is cheaper than what we were feeding the dogs. I went on Thursday (I did need to go to the drug store, anyway, so I figured that I'd utilize my membership card, but I mostly went because I was mad at him and figured that I'd spend his money, but I didn't buy anything that we don't need/will use) to Costco.

Whenever I go shopping, I have a shopping list. I knew what I needed to get at the drug store if I had gone, so I had some idea of what I needed, but I really just walked up and down the aisles, grabbing things that we'll use. 12+ cans of tuna, 15 boxes of macaroni & cheese, 36 rolls of toilet paper, 2 large soap refills, 2 gallons (?) of apple juice, 36 cups of pudding, Idk how many juice boxes, 1785 Q-Tips, 60 granola bars, 36 fiber bars, 3 lbs. of frozen fish, I think 3 lbs. of frozen chicken, a large container of hand sanitizer, and probably some other items, all for $136sh. I had some Costco coupons, but they weren't needed, as the price reductions were automatically taken off of those items. Some items were on sale and didn't need a coupon (the 3 lbs. of frozen fish usually was $12.99, but it was on sale for $9.99). I tend to buy a lot of items when they're on sale at the grocery store or drug store anyway, so storing items isn't that weird for me, but the amount of items I bought...I am storing toilet paper with cereal right now, since my bathroom and closet are so small!

The selection was small in some categories. I won't be buying cereal there, since the cereals Bobby eats weren't sold there, except for regular Frosted Mini-Wheats (he likes the flavored kinds). I liked their frozen foods section a lot, though, and I think I'll be saving a lot of money buying frozen meats and fish there, which I'm excited about. I was sad that they had no Rice-A-Roni, or store brand of that...for some reason, I was excited about buying that in bulk. And for the 15+ lb. bags of rice- I have no storage space for that, since I have to keep things like that in containers to keep bugs out (it is Florida, after all).

I don't like how they don't accept manufacturer's coupons (BJ's does); even though I like how Costco has their own coupons, it'd be great if they took their own coupons in addition to manufacturer's coupons, since at other stores (grocery stores, Target, drug stores), you can use a store coupon + a manufacturer's coupon for the same item, which means more savings!

Bobby apparently did the math and said that even with the $50 membership fee, we'll be saving money on dog food alone. I would've bought more items had we not had some at home (like canned fruit & vegetables and oatmeal, for example). For tissues and yogurt, I think it's cheaper to buy those elsewhere...I can't do math for the life of me, but the math I tried to do made it seem like those products were cheaper elsewhere. The paper towels confused me, so Idk where to buy those to get the best deal. :p
