Has to be Hairspray! It's sixties-tastic!

Trivia: The songs are written by half of the songwriting team behind South Park: BLU, which explains how the lyrics can be so playful.

Eeeee! I just saw Thoroughly Modern Millie a few weeks ago and loved it. It was quite different from the movie (which I also love), and it's not quite the same without the Carol Channing character. My only complaint was that the actor who played Jimmy was a bit weak. Gavin Creel, who originated Jimmy on Broadway (and also plays a role in both Eloise movies) has a marvelous singing voice, second only to Ewan McGregor. The guy I saw was only so-so. Plus he had the appearance of being short and stocky. Not that there's anything wrong with that ...

I also love Sunset Blvd. The stage version of it is amazing.

Not to mention that Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King are quite wonderful on stage as well. Still trying to convince my love one of the latter, though. :tink:
