great site...i'm tempted to order the UK vhs.... universal coded and original Disney! I have a dvd copy and I wish it would be released here by Disney. Mainly for it's historical value. It could be introduced by a great Afro-American actor and put into context for the audience much like James Earl Jones did for "John Henry" portion of "American Legends". :goofy:

I have the DVD copy also and I agree that it should be released with the proper introduction.

If you have a DVD why do you want a crappy VHS for an inflated price :?

Cause it would at least be a legal copy.

I admit, I have a DVD ripped from the Hong Kong Laserdisc (no subtitles, yay!), but I'd much rather have a legal copy. I feel guilty every time I watch my DVD, almost as if I'm stealing another $1.50 from Disney every time I watch it.

Of course, they could remedy that by actually releasing Song of the South...
