What's the chance of Buy 3, Get 1 Free again? Excellent!

Last year, around October-ish, I believe, Disney rolled out that great "Buy 3 Disney DVDs, Get 1 Free" deal, that lasted I think through the end of the year. Is there any word or any chance of that happening again in '04?

I would guess so, since they've done it for the last few years. I hope they do it again because I've gotten some really good stuff from there (Hercules Gold and Remember the Titans WS) and they do have at least three titles I want this fall - Home on the Range, Aladdin, Mulan, Mary Poppins, plus possibly more we don't know about yet (the Aladdin sequels, I'm wondering?)

Of course, this is all just guesswork, but I think it's more than likely that yes, we will see this offer happen again.

Luke? Any insider info on this? I remember last year you mentioned that it would happen again well before the first coupon showed up in Sleeping Beauty.

Probably. They've done it the last couple of years, and we should be hearing more in the fall.

How many sets of 3 can you redeem? If more than one, I have to get BMW the day it comes out, but maybe I'll wait and get all the others in the fall. This should be easy for lots of people to take advantage of. Look at the groupings of 3 big DVDs released around each other...

Princess Diaries SE
3 Musketeers
Lion King 2

Aladdin
Mulan
Mary Poppins

Use a little Christmas cash to pick up 3 missing from your collection!

Ask for 3 for Christmas from family & friends! (Be sure they save the receipts)!

And then you never know what else might get released. And there's all kinds of lower-profile releases as well. Hooray for free DVDs!

A few questions:
*Does B3G1F work with the Treasures, as well?
*Will it work on BMWS2, GG, HI, etc? (but then, they probably won't be under the Disney banner)
*Do movies bought through the Disney Movie Club count?

Let's hope they change the free DVDs made available, though... Pocahontas has a new edition on the way and Alice already has a new edition out.

Even if they don't allow us to get more than one freebie, you could always use a friend's/relative's address to send the second one to.

I think they will do it again like everyone says it has been done the past few years. But why wouldnt they allow people to go for the freebie? I mean as long you dont try the same year for 2. I dont see anything wrong with it Right?

I hope they do it again. It's definitely a great way to get expand your collection. I missed doing it when BatB came out, but from SW and TLK, I got Little Mermaid II and :) the wonderful, fantastic Hunchback of Notre Dame (If there is a reissue, I'll gladly double dip!). I wonder what titles they'll be trying to get rid of this year.

Hey gang-
I'm not sure if this is general knowledge yet or not but just in case it isn't -
Today at work we got some POP display material featuring the yearly Buy 3 Get 1 Free DVD promotion.

The free titles featured this year are:
Robin Hood
The Rescuers
Schoolhouse Rock
Mickey's House Of Villains
The Tigger Movie
The Fox & The Hound
Snow Dogs
Honey, I Shrunk The Kids
Cool Runnings
The Rookie (Fullscreen or Widescreen SEPERATE versions)
The Lizzie McGuire Movie

With 9 Disney titles already on my want (need? LOL) list this won't necessarily make me buy any more titles than I usually would, but maybe it'll make some of you guys pick up a few extra titles.

Luke -
I'm sorry :(
I started a seperate topic about this subject without seeing this one had already been started.
If you want to combine them, or kill mine and just cut and paste the info here, that's fine with me.
Again - I bow down before the bandwidth gods and offer my regrets.

Not too excited about that list. There are a few DVDs on there that I'm slightly interested in though. I'll definitely be buying at least three Disney DVDs before the end of the year so I'll probably take part in the promotion.

Thanks for the info Luke and gaysnappercarr!

Luke, have youg gotten the HOTR DVD already, or we you just informed that the release would include the offer?

Well, I've done the "Buy 3, get 1 Free" offer several times before and I don't see why Disney would stop now! It's nice to see it's back though. Looking at the list, there's a few I wuldn't mind getting for free, but aren't these lists usually for crappy DVDs that Disney wants to get rid of (hopefully to make room for a SE re-release! :P =cough= Robin Hood, Fox and the Hound, Honey I shrunk the Kids =cough=)?

Anyone else see that Save 2$ Instantly deal included with TLK 2? Isn't it stupid that Three Musketeers is offered on it, seeing as how I bought it already! Doesn't it seem like they're out to get the people that support them? At least I can use it for Twice Upon a X-Mas tho....

I think I may get three DVDs at the alloted window of time. I can finally get Robin Hood on DVD for free (well plus S&H). They usually include three classics, three LA, and three DTVs. I don't know what to put as my first choice...Robin Hood or School House Rock? Is Robin Hood at reduced price yet or did I miss it?

I already have all of the DVDs on the Buy 3 get one Free list that I want. However, if I decide to take advantage of the offer anyway, then the one that I may be remotely interested in is Mickey's House of Villains.

Kinda dissapointed with the list of free DVDs this year. There's nothing there that I've really been wanting to add to my collection, unlike previous years. Cool Runnings is a good movie, so I'll pick that I guess.

Thanks for the info, Luke! You should be on "Disney 411" on the Disney Channel, yo!
