Please note that the lack of commas in inappropriate places is intentional, so as not to confuse appositives or other comma usage with film listings. :) Even with the auditions, there are 108 remaining live-action films that survived the auditions. Therefore, we'll be dividing the game into three rounds, each of which will be further divided into sub-rounds. Round 1 will concern movies made prior to 1990 (I had to make the slight change from the site's grouping, which breaks at 1980, to even out the two groupings). Round 2 will concern movies made from 1990 to the present day. The winners of the first two rounds will go head-to-head in Round 3. Got it? Good. :)

Live-action films have already been defined for us by Luke's pages for them here on the site. Films made prior to 1980, all of which are covered in Round 1, can be found here (complete list). The complete list of films made between 1980 and 1990, also covered in Round 1, can be found at the bottom of this list.

It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days and vote for the live-action Disney film that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least. Everyone is welcome!!

At the end of the round, I'll come on here and announce which films got voted off, and a new thread will start for the next round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire (as you hopefully know from the last two games).

You can talk about your reasons for your vote, but I ask that you put the full title of what you're voting for in bold letters so that it's easy for me to count them all in a hurry.

There are more titles in Round 1 of this game than there were in all of the Animated Classics Survivor. Therefore, for Round 1, we'll follow this plan: Four movies will be cast off in each of the first 5 sub-rounds (the four with the most votes to leave). After that, two films will leave in each sub-round, until we reach the top 10. In all, that should make for 52 sub-rounds in round 1. Make sense? The winner of Round 1 will square off against the winner of Round 2 for the ultimate winner, which will join the reigning champs, The Lion King and Toy Story 2.

So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these 7 remaining films:

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Darby O'Gill and the Little People
Pollyanna
Swiss Family Robinson
The Parent Trap (1961)
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Freaky Friday (1977)

Voting ends at midnight (EASTERN TIME) on Sunday, August 29th.

Maybe I am barking up the tree and this one is gonna win it but

Parent Trap

Darby O Gill

Rather see it go than 20,000 or Bedknobs even though I love Sean Connery's performance.

20,000 Leagues Under The Sea

Too bad Escape To Witch Mountain had to leave, but it made it very far, so I won't mourn its departure. :)

I will keep voting for Bedknobs and Broomsticks until this piece of garbage leaves.

But unfortunatley, no one except MMP agrees with my hatred for this film. 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA

Wow only two movies that have not received a vote - Swiss Family Robinson(no surprise) and Freaky Friday(a big suprise to me) even though I thought Jodie Foster was absolutely fantastic. In fact, I cant ever remember a single vote going against either movie the whole game.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

I think I'll go with Pollyana next round, if anybody wants to form some sort of alliance. That's assuming 20,000 Leagues gets voted off this round.

Well, this round is over, and here's how it turned out with 16 votes coming in:

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea - 9
Darby O'Gill and the Little People - 5
Bedknobs and Broomsticks - 1
Pollyanna - 1

We're left with 6 films: 1 from the '50s, 3 from the early '60s, and 2 from the '70s.
