I know it's only Tuesday night, and it doesn't come out until tomorrow, but I just wanted to wish you all a "Happy-Theatrical-Release-of-Pirates-of-the-Carribean:-The-Curse-of-the-Black-Pearl-Day"!!!!!
Ok, ok-I'm a little excited about this film! (And I've never even been on the ride!)

Haha -- I'll probably see this film, but not tomorrow. It is my friends birthday, and she loves Orlando Bloom, so... you never know!

Doesn't look as though we are getting it until September 18, which is a shame, but we've got plenty to keep us occupied movie-wise until then.
I am really looking forward to this one. I love a good pirate movie, and this looks like it might be a good one (about pirates

)

I don't like pirate movies much but this looks great. I may not be able to see it tomorrow because of a busy schedule but I'll definitely be seeing it as soon as possible.

I'm the same way Satoshi: pirate movies with blood and gore and scary special effects are NOT my thing, but the story of this seems really good. Plus, Keira Knightley's in it: she's an incredible actress!

I'm glad "Pirates" has some humour, but it's not one of these movies that you expect to be really serious and dramatic, and then you're sitting there waiting for the humour to stop, right? this is mainly a "dramatic action" movie right? tell me it isn't turning out to be a comedy?????? I can't stand another mindless comedy from Disney (Max Keeble, Snow Dogs, Country Bears...)

Saw the 3:30 showing today. Really enjoyed it. As I said before, I don't like pirate movies, but this one was quite good. The acting was absolutely superb. Story and action were both great. This and X2 are my two favorite movies of the summer so far.

Snow Dogs is being looped into a category with "mindless comedies"

Yeah, hands off Snow Dogs
Nah, I can understand why you wouldn't like it, but I thought it was a lot of fun.
Nice to see some more adventure oriented movies from Disney though, because I believe that is what made their live-action past great. I think Pirates will be a repeat viewer... (when I see it the first time!

)

Thus far my favorite of all the Tins is
Davy Crockett...some of that Disney Live Action from years past is just so freakin' good. I, too, am glad to see them returning there with a bit more frequency lately.

PIRATES RULE!
This is a terrific film! I saw T3 last weekend and liked it, but I had to say that "I liked it except for..." Not so with this movie. I loved it from start to finish.
This is the big action adventure pirate movie that Hollywood has been wanting to make but couldn't figure it out until now. Johnny Depp was absolutely perfect as the roguish pirate Captain Jack Sparrow. He adds just the right amounts of humor to keep you laughing between moments of action and adventure on the seven seas! Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom were very good in their roles, even though Depp hams it up and has tons of fun, stealing the show along the way.
The baddies in this one are appropriately bad and the special effects that accompany them are very well done. Another thing that I really enjoyed was when different moments from the ride were thrown in. They were really fun! I would go see this movie again, and will definitely get the DVD.
Yes, there is a lil extra bit after the credits, so stay for it!
As far as the trailers go... Haunted Mansion, full trailer! VERY cool! Hidalgo trailer was there, a few others.

What do you have to stay after the credits for???? Doesn't look like I'll be seeing the movie anytime soon, so private message me or something! Is it a trailer for a sequel? Does it have the villain's return or something?

Oh, and I'm sorry for calling Snow Dogs a mindless comdey. I liked it, it's just that it seemed to rely heavily on stupid little jokes like "hope your pee-pee freeze up". I'd rather see a movie with real depth, instead of one that relies too heavily on humour to carry the story. I admit, the end of the movie is really touching, it's just that it seems out of place after the whole comedy.
