Hey,
Just wondering where I can find TRUE authentic R1 releases of Toy Story 2-Pak or Toy Story Ultimate Toy Box, also Fantasia Anthology. I would like to deal w/ someone trust from the forum here, but if no one has any for sale, where else could I find honest sellers.
I'm not sure if I trust ebay too much anymore due to all the asian collector sets and bootlegs. It's a sad situation, I know
Thanks,
Clayton

Hey panhead,
The Ultimate Toy Box Set is out of print EVERYWHERE. You unfortunately won't be able to find this set at any retailers anymore unless you are truly lucky! For this, Ebay is really the only way to go... and you should expect it to come at a high price!
If you're interested in the Toy Story 2-DVD Box Set, well, send me a p.m. or email - mf.toon @ gmail.com (no space) because I just happen to have a brand new set I'd be willing to sell you for a reasonable price.
Fantasia Anthology can still be found at various retailers if you look around. Here's a list of a couple of reliable online stores that seem to currently have it in stock...
http://www.dvdsoon.com/show-title-details.xml?uid=13374
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/B ... imagu01-20
http://dvdpassion.com/product.asp?productid=7968
Also, I'm not sure if they would ship to you, but a local established retailer (Metro Video) has MANY copies in stock! If you'd like to give them a call and ask if they'd be willing to take a telephone order (I've been told it's been done before), you can do so at the following number: 514-499-9499
Hope that helps.

You could always import a copy from the UK it's not out of print here!

the price on amazon.com is a canadian price, so this is the SAME EXACT release as the US one? if so i'll have to find a price converter

if you want a price converter go to
www.xe.com.

Yes, they are exactly the same.
R1 covers ALL of North America, hence, Canada and the United States.
As Icahbod suggested, a good currency converter:
http://www.xe.com/ucc/
For the record, DVDSoon is selling the set even cheaper, and is also in Canadian currency. It's the first link, and the exchange comes to about $51.18 US. which is an excellent price.
I've placed many orders with them in the past and they have great customer service too, fast shipping and overall very reliable and efficient.

I haven't looked at any sites for you. But I know a few months ago, when I wanted the single disk version of Mary Poppins, it was out of print and very hard to find. I found it at
www.showwow.com It was a reasonable price, and the movie was okay except it was a Canadian version, but the US and Canadian version thankfully had the same stuff on it!! Hope that helps some.

Just to be geographically correct, that statement is incorrect

R1 = 2/3 countries of North America.
In any case, thanks for those links STASHONE!

Hey Panhead,
If you're still interested, I've got a very gently used Ultimate Toy Box. I do quite a bit on eBay and you can check my feedback (user id: two-oaks). I understand your concern about Asian imports & bootlegs .... it's out-of-hand. Feel free to email me directly at
pemorris@insightbb.com

DVDsoon does not have it in. If they have it they have specified that it is "In stock" and they have not done this on this one.
This store is great for in stock titles, but since they do charge your card imidiatly when you order they do like to keep oop titles available on the site because that way they can keep your money for some time before they have to return it.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!? I just ordered it from them today, yesterday i finally got a refund from a crappy asian collector's edition. What do I do now if they don't have it in stock!? and how do I know for sure!? jkl;dasfj;kldj;isafjk;ldsa;kljdfjk;lsajkl;fd;kljdfsjkal;dfsajkl;dsfjkal;dfsajkl;
THIS IS FRUSTRATING! Maybe I should just forget about getting the stupid fantasia trilogy if it's going to be this freakin hard to get it!
How do I get a refund from these people now, or how do I know for sure they don't have it in !?

I've got an extra copy of the Fantasia Anthology sealed. I'm known on this board fairly well. It's the US edition. I'll sell it to you for what I got it for, if you're interested + postage. I think it was around $56. I actually have a receipt with it.

It does, but some Canadian covers are bilingual (French and English). I'm not sure if Disney does this (I think they do), but just be cautious when you are ordering. Some people don't like the bilingual covers, and from a collector's standpoint, I can understand why.
