Even with the auditions, there are 108 remaining live-action films that survived the auditions. Therefore, we'll be dividing the game into three rounds, each of which will be further divided into sub-rounds. Round 1 will concern movies made prior to 1990 (I had to make the slight change from the site's grouping, which breaks at 1980, to even out the two groupings). Round 2 will concern movies made from 1990 to the present day. The winners of the first two rounds will go head-to-head in Round 3. Got it? Good. :)

Live-action films have already been defined for us by Luke's pages for them here on the site. Films made prior to 1980, all of which are covered in Round 1, can be found here (complete list). The complete list of films made between 1980 and 1990, also covered in Round 1, can be found at the bottom of this list.

It works just like the Survivor TV show. Basically, come on here once every 2 days and vote for the live-action Disney film that you want to vote off, i.e., the one that you like the least. Everyone is welcome!!

At the end of the round, I'll come on here and announce which films got voted off, and a new thread will start for the next round. This gets to be a lot of fun, especially when it gets down to the wire (as you hopefully know from the last two games).

You can talk about your reasons for your vote, but I ask that you put the full title of what you're voting for in bold letters so that it's easy for me to count them all in a hurry.

There are more titles in Round 1 of this game than there were in all of the Animated Classics Survivor. Therefore, for Round 1, we'll follow this plan: Four movies will be cast off in each of the first 5 sub-rounds (the four with the most votes to leave). After that, two films will leave in each sub-round, until we reach the top 10. In all, that should make for 52 sub-rounds in round 1. Make sense? The winner of Round 1 will square off against the winner of Round 2 for the ultimate winner, which will join the reigning champs, The Lion King and Toy Story 2.

So, Survivors ready?? Come on in and vote off ONLY ONE of these 10 films:

Starting with this sub-round, only one movie will leave in each sub-round for the remainder of Round 1.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
The Shaggy Dog
Darby O'Gill and the Little People
Pollyanna
Swiss Family Robinson
The Parent Trap (1961)
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Escape to Witch Mountain
Freaky Friday
Honey, I Shrunk the Kids

Voting ends at midnight (EASTERN TIME) on Monday, August 23rd.

DisneyKid was right. The Shaggy Dog is the weak one left.

I like Flight of the Navigator a lot, but am surprised it lasted as long as it did. SOTS probably left right around when it should have.

Yeah, that's how I felt when Pete's Dragon went. But you have to realize that the overwhelming majority of people playing in this haven't seen SOTS.

Come on - Song of the South the best movie left? James Baskett and Bobby Driscoll had good performances and the animated sequences were good, but the plot is very sappy. It is totally overly sentimental and glosses over important issues like race relations after reonstruction and divorce/separation and its affects on children.

A good movie - yes, a movie that should be released with an introduction - yes. Comeptition for the remaining movies - no.
